Dubai - Michael Jackson, the pop star acquitted this month in the United States of a child sex abuse case, is in the Gulf state of Bahrain on a private visit, the Arabic Bahraini newspaper Akhbar Al Khaleej reported Thursday.
The paper said Jackson arrived on a private jet Wednesday evening in Bahrain at the invitation of the royal family.
This is the 46-year-old star's first trip abroad since his acquittal.
Jackson's brother Jermaine is a frequent visitor to Bahrain and a friend of one of the sons of the king of Bahrain.
