'J. Edgar', 'November Christmas' star Emily Alyn Lind shares her '10 List' from 2011

Pretty Emily Alyn Lind boasts a resume in Hollywood that many actresses could only wish for.

The rising star hails from a family of thespians and began her acting career in the role of ‘Young Lily,’ (‘Lily’ played by Dakota Fanning) in 'The Secret Life of Bees.'

When she was just only five years old, she played Young Linda in Gaspar Noe’s critically acclaimed 'Enter the Void' and the following year was the red carpet darling when the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

She soon became a popular face on television with a recurring role as ‘Emily Gardener’ in the ABC series Eastwick and as series regular ‘Emma Lavery’ on the Emmy-winning daytime drama, All My Children. 

Choice regular roles continued on the hit series Medium, as ‘Young Alexis’ in Flashpoint and as ‘Ana Brooks’ in Criminal Minds.  Despite her age, Emily excels at nuanced roles, seen as real-life kidnap victim Reigh “Snooks” Boss in the Lifetime movie 'Who is Clark Rockefeller?' and later, as ‘Young Jane,’ in Lifetime’s 'Sundays at Tiffany’s.'

In 2010, Emily had the opportunity to appear on screen with her older sister in 'Blood Done Sign My Name' when she played ‘Julie Tyson’ and Natalie played ‘Boo Tyson.’  Both girls were again seen together when Emily was cast to play the lead in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie,
November Christmas', in which her strong performance prompted an Emmy campaign by Hallmark. 

Emily will be seen in “Still I Rise” cast as Maggie Gyllenhall’s daughter, and she was flown from the Pittsburgh set back to Hollywood to star as ‘young Amanda Clarke" opposite Emily Van Camp in ABC’s breakout fall hit, 'Revenge,' airing Wednesdays at 10 pm.
 
One of the most exciting acting experiences to date for Emily is the chance to work with Clint Eastwood in his latest film 'J. Edgar,' in which she plays ‘Shirley Temple’ opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and Dame Judi Dench.

Emily was cast as Grace Goodwin in 'Prep and Landing: Naughty v. Nice,' the sequel to Disney’s award-winning Christmas special which premiered on ABC on December 5th.  Emily make a cameo in the Hollywood Christmas Parade premiering December 12th on the Hallmark Channel.  Both specials repeat throughout December.

Emily lives with her family  – and their rescue puppy, Georgie – in the greater Los Angeles area and is a stellar student. She works with charitable organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children’s Hospital, Shane’s Inspiration,  Give Kids the World and the Lollipop Theater.                                                                                                            
Emily shared her 2011 'Ten List' with Monsters and Critics:

1. Tom's Shoes

I LOVE Tom's because they're cute and so comfortable - but I especially like them because they give back to children in need. I want them in every style and color!!!

2.  REVENGE on ABC! 

OK, maybe I'm a little partial, but I really am addicted to the show!  It just keeps getting better and juicier! - is it OK for me to say that?  I am so lucky to be on the show!

3.  Chick Fil A opening in Hollywood

Finally!   My sister works at CBS, so we always beg to go with her so we can stop on Highland for a Grilled Chicken and Waffle Fries and Diet Lemonade...It's the BEST!

4.  My Baby Sister, Aly, getting her first big job! 
I know Young and the Restless has been on for so long - but with so many soap operas going off the air in 2011 (All My Children - boo)...Y&R is still going strong! And my sis, Aly gets to be a part of it. So exciting!

5. J.R. Martinez winning Dancing With the Stars

My sisters and Mom and I watched the whole season and rooted for JR - I was so lucky to know him during All My Children - he is so nice and talented -  I had no idea he was such a great dancer! 

6.  J. Edgar

Sorry a little partial again!  But I think Leonardo should win an Oscar for this!  He was so great to work with - so funny and sweet (and cute)...He's such a good actor and I think everyone will always remember him in this movie.

7.  Knee Socks!!!!

I am so happy that knee socks are in!  Knee socks with boots, sneakers, Tom's, dresses, shorts...colored knee socks, black knee socks....LOVE knee socks!!!

8. Saying good bye to Bin Laden
I was learning about 9/11 in school, and then heard that he was killed.  I know it's probably not a good thing to be happy about someone dying...but after what he did, I couldn't help it.  The world is a better place now.

They were always my favorite designer - but their clothes keep getting better and better - they have the BEST fur vests! 

10.  ADELE...my favorite singer

Someone Like You - The BEST song of the year!  I hope I can meet her to tell her in person how great she is!

2011 WAS AN AWESOME YEAR - BUT 2012 IS GOING TO BE EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!!!
