It is with great pride that I can say I am glad to be represented by someone like Carrie. She is bold, confident and correct in her position on the subject of gay marriage. We need more people to stand and defend the institution of marriage and family which is being torn apart by anyone and anything that allows morality to be dicatated by what feels right to them. I stand with you Carrie. Good job.

I was very shocked to hear your position on gay marriage
I believe you should go back to school and get a proper education on homosexuality
your position as miss usa (bad choice)has a great influence on our younger girls who growing up
I asked my neices what they thought of miss usa
uncle gord your gay and we are very proud of you
they will tell their friends of your antics as miss usa
I expect an apology from you on behalf of all those teens considering running for your position
i will boycott miss usa pageant and any appearances by you
i hope you will stop spreading hate as it is not part of your job!

I have no idea what Gay and Proud just said but I for one am proud of the stand she took. She like the majority (yes, majority, even though small groups scream loudly)of Americans still believe in traditional marriage and relationships. If Miss Prejean had stated she was in favor of gay rights, would it have been acceptable for another judge to give her a zero because of their view? No...there would have been an uproar. I for one do not hate gay or lesbian people but just as you feel you have a right to your opinion you should understand that others have the right to theirs. I do not believe that a man dating a man is what God intended for us but I am also not the one to judge that for you. While I do not mind being tolerant I will not be forced into believing that you are right. You can wave a flag or scream your head off but when you try to tell me what I will and will not believe, I like many will not stand for it. Mr. Perez may have actually awaken the preverbial sleeping giant called God fearing, hard working Americans. Good luck and God Bless Miss Prejean.

hats off to you carrie!you demonstrated to the world what a democratic society practices.it is the right to believe in what you think is right, while not denying another the right to believe what they think is right also.you are being attacked for your right to belief.no one has the right to make you feel bad for that.on the topic of gays and gay marriage, i totally disagree to members of the same sex in sexual relationships, let alone marriage to each other. there must simply be some things wrong and some things right.if this was ideal, they should be able to reproduce, which is something since time began, was given to male and female. this will never change, try as they might!but instead they take a whole other route to try to achieve the same thing that is clearly given to only couples of opposite sexes.in the same way marriage is not given to them, so they try the same measure to achieve what belongs to straight couples.i'll prove my point. there are laws that prevent humans from having intercourse with animals. that law came from the same author who said that same sex sexual relationships are wrong.there are however, human beings whose sexual preference is with animals!should they be given the right to exercise what they think is their right to sexual preference? no matter how liberated a nation may be,there must be limitations applied for the common good.i have absolutely no hatred for gays nor do i wish to deny them their rights as human beings, but marriage is given to men and women relationships(real ones, not surgically enhanced ones)they need to design their own name and conditions for what it is they want, only it can never be called marriage!

by the way i am from the caribbean and from a country that do not mistreat gays in our society.they too do not try to force their beliefs on us.we are the most tolerant nation on earth, i am proud to say.it happens to be part of our watch words.i also admire president Obama's ability to be himself and celebrate the fact that he's just a man.he can have fun with another man just because that man is human too.yes! he shook mr chavez's hand.Obama has demonstrated that he's not only dignified, but that he is the 'bigger man' as we say over here.in my country it is quite normal for two people to disagree or even come to blows and be good with each other in the next fifteen minutes.you see it is with the understanding that we are all human, we make mistakes all of us,but that is no reason to write each other off. anyone who has the love of God knows this.in the event the other person is mean to you,you never let their attitude change who you are.

As a Christian, I believe that God Blessed the gay cause by not allowing the California native to win. I say hats off to Mr Hilton for being a true American. I thank God that he has heard the many many prayers of thousands of people. I wish Ms California well, however I truly hope she seeks God's forgiveness.
