I cannot believe that Heidi Klum or anyone in their right mind would do this sort of thing. this is so disrespectful! i am a Kali Devotee( that is the God that she is dressed as) and this is a total insult. how does she live with herself knowing that she has totally disrespected the Hindu religion? i am honestly hurt and insulted, i am devoted to this Mother Kali and it brought much sadness to me to see something like this. i hope she will atleast apologize publicly. People are very hurt and insulted, and if she has an morals she will do this!

Heidi Klum has lost alot of respect following this. The ignorance portrayed by some of the non-indians on our hindu culture is dispicable! Every hindu person is knowledgable on the basics of other religions. And we respect it and do not talk it down. But trust other people to be so damn pathetic!!! My religion believes that it is wrong to vent anger upon another human being for representing a deity, and that one must show compassion, understanding and have the ability to accept people no matter what they do. I accept what Heidi Klum did was good. It was a good thing. It was to enjoy life. Maybe she devoted a percentage of proceedings of the party to charity. That will help someone more than I can in this lifetime.
Why do we attack famous people who on one occasion might offend us personally, and yet, every day, the small people we meet who have malice and hatred and whom we could show the error of the ways, we do nothing about? It is because it is easier to attack someone famous because we assume we know them, rather than that person in the street who just spat on someone weaker. In short, despite what we think we believe, we are cowards.
On a negative note, I was hoping she'd have shown a bit more skin this year....

seriously? if she would have dressed up as Jesus would this be as huge of a deal...whatever. heidi klum sucks because she is way too rich, self absorbed has too many kids and too many nannies and lives in a world of illusions, not because she dressed as a Hindu Goddess for Halloween. I have seen way more offensive costumes than this! i actually think this costume is rad!
