I find it interesting that Ted Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy-Schwarzenegger are only now endorsing Mr. Obama. I consider their late support a 'tactic' to position themselves not only in the media, but also for future support; did they only now hear that Mr. Obama will receive the final Democratic push?
I have always been a Kennedy fan, but am insulted that Caroline Kennedy-Schwarzenegger would compare our late President Kennedy to Mr. Obama; how ridiculous is that? Ted Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy-Schwarzenegger have lost my respect.
Initially, Mrs. Clinton was my choice for President; then recently I considered Obama after reviewing his stance on key issues that are important to me. Now I am back to Mrs. Clinton, because there seems to be closed door conversations that are to build-up a candidate to what he is not; a hero with credentials!
A promise to all Democratic candidates seeking California: I will canvas the Latin Community with detailed information, on each candidate, of their stance on key issues that are important to the Latin Community and what they have done in the past to support these key issues. And, whether or not they were consistent in their support and not just playing the Latin 'card' (tactic) for votes closer to the end...
This is getting ridiculous and making it hard to support, regardless of who wins the Primary.
Mexican California Voter
Kennedy-Schwarzenegger? Huh?
I believe you are talking about Maria Shriver arn't you? She afterall is the one married to Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Lou Dobbs continues to grow in popularity and ratings-we don't need to cater to Mexicans in the USA- they need to get with the assimilation and cater to becoming US citizens who speak English and contribute, like any other ethnicity that lands here.
Enough of the US taxpayer supporting La Raza and other hispanic legal lobby groups.
...support from one of the most crooked politicians of our time...he actually killed a girl and serves with distinction in the uS Senate.
Larry Craig feels someone's leg and is pilloried for it. Perhaps he'll endorse Obama next?!
President John F. Kennedy himself once said:
'Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.'
Thanks to Carolyn and Ted Kennedy for helping us to look towards the future in their endorsements for Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States.
Now he is a real item. Why the world even cares what this fat drunkard thinks is beony me. He lost all of respect when he let Mary Jo die.
J - you are so right! I got a visual and ran with it... I was irritated, my bad!
He's not fat - just his head.
To the 'this is why' comment,
I respect that you are entitled to your point of view. However, your comment is an inept attempt to prove your intillegence or understanding of current issues. There is no content and I will bet that you have done nothing to contribute to the society you supposedly support; at the least have your own opinion...
The Clintons used the same old strategy. They lie. They are not honest. The will say anything to win the nomination. They have no ethical value. Things that Bill Clinton did in the white house as president that has lead to the prelude of his impeachment, was so bad, I do not even know how to explain it to my 6 year old. Precisely, what I am refereeing here is the need to be candid under all circumstances. They used all kinds of tricks, tears and anger to manipulate the media and scare up votes. This is disgraceful. I know that Bill wants to finish his legacy, but he needs to conduct the campaign in a way that is conducive to respect, and civility.
Here is the current strategy -- Bill goes loose and says anything that he wants including distortion to derail Obama off his message. In the meantime, Hillary will have more time to talk about the economy and her mandating health care system, similar to the ones implemented by governor Mitt Romney in Massachusetts before his departure. People in Massachusetts, who cannot pay for their heating bill, would rather pay the current fine because it is less than buying a health insurance premium. Forcing people to pay a fine and yet calling the plan, universal heath insurance, sounds more like a great euphemism to me. This sounds just like as a real fairy tale to me; give me a break. Our problem will not be solved until we remove the lobbyists in Washington. The previous attempt to solve the healthcare crisis was done behind closed doors. The second attempt will be a mandating health care plan to force people who can’t afford it to pay additional fees. She may as well choose the previous governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, as a running mate, for they have the same health care plan.
The strategy outlined above may win the nomination, but it will lose the election.
1. The Clintons are working vigorously to put a wall – calling Obama “young African American.
2. Recently, she called him a frustrated young man
3. The Clinton purposely lied to provoke Obama and to derail him off his message.
Please Obama do no let this only hope dies.
Without Obama, there is no more interest in politic on the democratic side. Without Obama, there is no surge in voting registration. Without Obama, there is no full auditorium with thousand and thousands followers. Without Obama, there is no more reason to believe in again. Without Obama, the Tiger Woods analogy ceases to make sense – he made golf interested to young people as Obama make politic interested to college kids across the country. Without Obama, citizens would stop changing party affiliation from republican and independent to become democrats. Without Obama, we are back to the same food fight – red and blue state again -- Red for republican and blue for democrats.
Please don’t let the status quo blocks the change movement and derail Obama off the message to unite America and heal the nation – Please let be honest!!!
“There is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America - there's the United States of America.”
But Obama is a card carrying liberal. He votes liberal, is liberal and always will be liberal. That being the case, even his scant voting record is, certainly, fair game.
He and Hillary see, virtually, eye-to-eye on every issue, despite anything they say.
If someone wants to impugn the republicans for bringing his record up, so be it, because, sooner or later, he's going to get asked about his positions and his relationships with certain entities like that so-called 'christian' church, and the coal industry.
Dear Richard Andre,
you are totally right and it feel good to read your comment...I'll just add this ' we are 8 years late, but finally Senator Obama will bring us our 21 st century '.
I am supporting Obama from day one with a lot of donations, that all I can do, unfortunately..
A french ' Illegal' supporter....which pay tax and contribute.
If every politician was under extreme scrutiny how many would ever come up pure and clean?? Who really cares who gives an endorsement - we need to decide for ourselves the candidate who seems to fill our expectations after carefully looking at their past and present performances, and if that means switching parties, so be it! Clinton and Obama do seem to be pretty much on the same page, but if their mud slinging at each other doesn't quit, they will both be losers!
Is it true that Obama will not salute the flag because of his Muslum beliefs? If that's true then 'What's up with THAT'
I do not care who Caroline or Ted Kennedy endorses in this democratic race. But to compare President Kennedy to Obama sickens me and my family immensely. How dare you, Caroline, bring down our beloved president to such low. You have shattered and demeaned the persona John F. was to all that loved him and to the world.
I have been a democrat all my life and never did I ever entertained the thought of voting Republican. It was blasphemous to think such thoughts in my home. But that is exactly what will happen if this pied piper of sorts gets the nomination.
A sad day in America!
People are now looking to change the way they thought in the past.
That's a excellent choice the Kennedy made. Obama is about changing a
world that's filled with hate. We should all embrace each other and look
towards a brighter future. Or we and can stay in the terror that bush has
brought upon us.VOTE OBAMA
I agree with the last poster. And as for Caroline K. endorsing Obama and thinking it moreless disgraces her father - how ridiculous!! I would imagine that President Kennedy would wholeheartedly agree with her.
'How dare you, Caroline, bring down our beloved president to such low. You have shattered and demeaned the persona John F. was to all that loved him and to the world.'
He wasn't that great. But I hear the rum running was exceptional.
Was any president 'great'?? Some were better than others, but great - I doubt it!
Sister Souljah endorses Hillary Clinton. After the surprise endorsement of Barack Obama by Toni Morrison, Sister Souljah, long time nemisis of rap hatin' whities everywhere made a surprise announcement that she is endorsing Sen. Hillary Clinton for President. At one point in the 92 election Souljah was derided by Bill Clinton for promoting racial hatred and intolerance in her music. Now she is in love with the Clintons. She explained that Morrison, despite being a Nobel prize winning author, actually believes that Bill is really black and endorsed Obama because she realized that Hillary was white and came to believe, mistakenly, that Bill had turned his back on the sistahs by marrying a white woman. Souljah, in an odd turn of events believes that Hillary is actually black and therefore is the victim of another white man. 'First, they let Strom Thurmond tag every black woman in South Carolina back in the day, and now we're going to let this black man Bill Clinton turn his back on his race and marry a white woman.' 'Not no, but hell no.'
'Ain't no Cassanova Brown gonna make a fool outa us.' Not to be outdone, a number of Black entertainers have weighed in on this issue. Snoop Dogg said he'd roll with Bill because he gets annoyed by brothers that be takin' your weed and Bogartin' the heck outta it. 'For shizzle my dizzle.' The fact that Bill stroked it and didn't smoke it means there's more flavor for me.
Louis Farrakhan, Jr. said he understands the confusion as he is often mistaken for actor Louis Gossett, Jr. And Teena, 'Lovergirl,' Marie AKA Lady T, reported that thousands of unsuspecting Black concert goers and music purchasers have asked for their money back as they cannot believe that they had been duped into believing that she was Black for years. More on this story as it develops.
