Entrepreneurial moms Cece Feiler and Heidi Haddad, with six children between them, have created one of the hottest gift ideas around for Hannukah and Christmas, and celebrities are snapping them up like crazy.
Cece's background as a psychotherapist and Heidi's as an actress were the alchemy behind a simple game creation they created to entertain a hungry impatient group waiting to be fed, one fateful dinner party.
The moms spontaneously began asking questions that anyone at the table could answer.
Their questions didn't rely on pop pap, insipid subjects like Paris, Brangelina or American Idol. The two resourceful moms delved into serious, thought-provoking issues including ethics and morality, charity and history as well as a strong appreciation for the bonds that tie together family and society.
Though the food was late arriving to the table, their dinner party was still a huge success. The two took their clever idea and blew it up into a tangible game to sell to boutiques and friends by word of mouth. They now sell their fun Box of Questions collection in high-end retail stores and online at their website.
The Box of Questions gifts also give back to charity. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of The Box Girls products go directly to charities that benefit children and families, and 2002, The Box Girls have raised more than $85,000 in cash for various organizations.
A portion of the proceeds from the new Family Dinner Box are donated to The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University CASA® and with their new Eco-friendly Thanksgiving edition you can give thanks this holiday to the environment.
Cece and Heidi have designed each box game with a different themes of questions to spark conversations among family members, girlfriends, and for specific holidays.
Howard Gordon, the executive producer for the hit series, "24", was taken with their traditional Box of Shabbat: "The Shabbat Box has become a ritual in our family as meaningful as lighting the candles and blessing the wine and challah."
Actress Rosanna Arquette is a fan, too. "[Box of Questions] is a meaningful and lovely gift for this holiday season."
The chic conversation starters have graced the celebrity dinner tables of Demi Moore, Eva Longoria and Madonna.
The Box of Questions is a unique and affordable hostess gift for any party, or holiday dinner. The Boxes are available at selected Whole Foods, Saks Fifth Avenue department stores, gift shops across the country and on The Box Girls website, here.
