Just watched movie Flying Scotsman. Fantastic. Am ashamed I didn't pay more attention to Graeme Obree at the time of his amazing achievements. What an inspiration. Let's hear it for a national hero.
Just watched the movie and it is a great depiction of a life balancing on a narrow edge. G.Obree's achievments are unbelievable and well-earned. His work and dedication haven't come without a price but it is good to hear of his desire to cope while seeking the help and support of others in his life. I have 2 sons who have struggled with some of the symptoms of manic depression and both are extreme athletes. Thanks for the incite I've gained from this film.
