I am sick of hearing from spouses and children of candidates
we aren't electing them-it just distracts from the focus

I like the idea of hearing from those who are closest to our potential leader. In all of our lives, our closest advisers really have an effect on the directions we go, and the decisions we make. Look at Mr. Bush and his beloved 'turd blossom' (sickening, I know).

Hillary does have an advantage in this arena, in that her husband is turning out to be a very popular past president, despite his poor reputation as a husband and an honest man. But that relationship seems strained at best, and I wonder how much respect is left between the two of them.

If we do not get a female president, I like the idea of a unspoiled young man, with a strong woman keeping him in line. As a woman, I know I often need to serve as a moral compass for my boyfriend, and I can't see how a president would be any different. We all need sounding boards, so the president had better have a darned good one if he's going to clean up this mess. Yes he will have advisers, (gag me with a sell-out), but when he's losing sleep over an important decision, it will be SHE who helps him to find his way.

Represent girl!

I had the privilege of attending an event where Michelle Obama spoke in July. During her remarks, she made a similar 'if you can't run your own house, how can you run the White House' coment. It was in reference to the work/life balance women face today. The comment came across as an honest, self-deprecating remark about the Obama family's deliberate decision to ensure the stability and quality of their children's lives before striking out on a path for the White House. She provided insight to who they are as a family, and segued into the difficulties single moms and moms struggling to make ends meet are challenged with, and how we as a nation need to be engaged in a conversation about these issues.

I found Michelle Obama to be poised, funny, engaging, clearly outstanding, and down-to-earth all at once. I'd be surprised if she was even thinking about the Clintons in making the 'run your own house' comment. Maybe the fact that people 'go there' speaks for itself.

If I had to choose, I'd trust Michelle Obama over Bill Clinton in the White House, and Barack of Hillary as President. Oh, I can choose. Well that one was easy.

sorry it's going to sound bad but America will never elect a black person for president. I know I won't vote for him. Furthermore no one will vote for that C-word Hillary. Her mistake came when she forgave her husbands indiscretions. Women all over the world lost respect for her.
Now if she had dumped him ? Anyway anyway.

how a person who was reported to be an alcoholic and lacking major brain cells was elected? Obama and Hillary would both be a vast improvement in the intelligence department!

Digging up dirt and exposing politicians and then dragging them through it is called muckraking. Thats what the attacks are for.
Hillary or Obama will never be president, in this day and age.
Maybe in the future another woman or person like Obama will run and win but not now.

Does it really matter who becomes president? If you think one person (phony figurehead patsy) can make a difference in such a corrupt system, it's time for some more Kool Aid.
