Anne Rice's early fiction was Vampiric in subject, with her characters' sexuality described as fluid, often displaying homoerotic feelings towards each other.

Rice once said that the bisexuality was what she was looking for in her characters; a love beyond gender especially with the Vampire Chronicles because the vampires were not of human society, therefore did not go by the expectations of that society.

Now she has eschewed her neck biting lustful epics for a return to Catholicism, and has sworn off any futher Vampire chronicles.

She also wants you to vote for Hillary Clinton too.

In 1998, Rice returned to her Roman Catholic faith, which she had not practiced since she was 18. In October 2005, as she reaffirmed her Catholic faith, Rice announced in a Newsweek article that she would "write only for the Lord." She called Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt, her first novel in this vein.

In an interview with Christianity Today, headlined "Interview with a Penitent", Rice declared that she will never again write another vampire novel, saying; "I would never go back, not even if they say, 'You will be financially ruined; you've got to write another vampire book.'"

Rice has posted on her official website that Americans only have two parties, "one which is purely Christian."

"I believe in voting, I believe in voting for one of the two major parties, and I believe my vote must reflect my Christian beliefs. Bearing all this in mind, I want to say quietly that as of this date, I am a Democrat, and that I support Hillary Clinton for President of the United States."

Rice further explained her positions and cited the Democrats are in line with Christian beliefs, and has lashed out against abortion too.

"I am Pro-Life. I believe in the sanctity of the life of the unborn.   Deeply respecting those who disagree with me, I feel that if we are to find a solution to the horror of abortion, it will be through the Democratic Party," says Rice.

"I believe the Democratic Party is the party that is most likely to  help Americans make a transition away from the abortion crisis that we face today.  Its values and its programs --- on a whole variety of issues --- most clearly reflect my values. Hillary Clinton is the candidate whom I most admire," writes Rice.

Sorry Ms Rice the Democrat Party and especially Hillary Clinton is NOT the candidate or the political party that will stop Abortion in the USA. They are the party of the abortion, they own it. I read your web page and you are voting your conscience. Jesus does not want unborn babies killed.

She's against abortion so she's backing a staunch pro-abortionist?

She believes the democratic party, the backers of every pro-abortion entity, the folks who greenlighted late term/partial birth abortion, has the best chance of leading society away from abortion? What calculus generated this premise?

Did anyone writing this article bother to ask her WHY or HOW she came to these conclusions?????

Hillary?????

She returned to her Catholic Faith?

It was short lived... She just excommunicated her self by her endorsement of Clinton... She no longer is in union with the Holy See and cannot receive the body of Christ until confession and public denouncement of her position.

It tires me to see people hide behind their faith, in particular Roman Catholics. The faith is so clearly defined there can be absolutely no misunderstanding of Her teachings, to protest the teachings of the Church causes the protestor to excommunicate themself.

So Anne, either practice another religion that has no trouble with your personal views or learn the Truth of your Faith and act accordingly.

Love the early vampire chronicles. The later ones were rather lame in nature. I was raised Roman Catholic. And Republican. *shrugs* The Democratic Party has little and nothing to do with Catholicism. Not that the Republicans DO, but, they have way more points in common that the Dems.

Be that as it may, Hilary will not win. Neither will Obama. The Bible Belt which elected Bush twice, will NOT elect a woman or a black man. Plain and simple. Racist? Backward Thinking? Of course. Also, the truth. Your next president will be Republican. Will the abortion issue get reversed? Not anytime soon.

Maybe she admires Hillary for being a sniveling coward who went into hiding for several days after 9/11.

How can someone be so confused? She says she is follower of Christ and yet is voting for someone who represents what Christ is not.
