Actor Kevyn Major Howard, who played "Rafterman" in the Warner Bros. picture Full Metal Jacket, isn’t just sitting around cashing in his residuals or “Dancing with the Stars.”
He has literarily become the driving force in an effort to raise money and awareness over the profound loss the United States of America has suffered, with American men and women who have fallen in the Iraq war.

Howard converted his classic Chevy Nova drag race cars into mobile memorials for the fallen Marines in Iraq, where the names of all the fallen Marines are displayed on the flagship car.
Two other cars in the team bear the Marine Corps name and slogan, "The Few, The Proud," and together they make up the Marine Corps' Fueled by the Fallen Memorial Race Car Team.
Fueled by the Fallen is a moving monument and a non-profit organization developed to both honor and pay tribute to the United States Service Members who died serving their country.
“Our organization's mission is to build out memorial cars for all branches of our Armed Forces, bring these cars to the public, and develop other prospects that will generate money to give to the families of the fallen,” says Howard.
Funds will be raised and given to the families who have lost sons, daughters, husbands, and wives in the War on Terrorism. Howard’s mission is to give back to all of the families of the fallen heroes. In addition, Fueled by the Fallen will focus on supporting organizations that address Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) as well as family treatment for proper re-integration of our Service Members back into society.
The Memorial Race Car Team will be racing their top race cars and bringing awareness and win in NHRA drag racing venues across the nation. Howard shows his support for the Troops by making appearances to every major American city with the Memorial Race Car Road Tour, where people can see the cars up close.
Howard also has preliminary approval to take the race cars to Iraq for the Christmas Holiday.
To date, The Los Feliz (Los Angeles) Lions Club Chapter has provided a generous donation and challenges all Lions Club Chapters to help support the Fueled By The Fallen, Memorial Race Car Team.
Pentagon TV will air Howard's Memorial Race Car DVD, and Warner Brothers is releasing the 20th Anniversary Platinum Edition of Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket" where the Memorial Car was featured and introduced.
Stomping Ground Magazine has chosen The Memorial Race Car to be the front cover of their October 2007 issue, and a full-page article of the Memorial Race Car was featured in the April 2007 issue of the Observation Post newspaper. Vol. 50, Issue 16, April 27, 2007.
Fox 11 News (Los Angeles) covered the Memorial Race Cars at Arlington West with several television airings on Memorial Day weekend, and KCAL Channel 9 News (Los Angeles) covered the Memorial Race Cars at Arlington West with several television airings on Memorial Day weekend too.
Innovated Partners Group (IPG) is producing the ‘Fueled By The Fallen’ feature documentary, and the Irwindale Dragstrip awarded the People’s Choice Award to the Memorial Race Car July 2007.
