Thanks for your continued coverage of Paul! I've never been so excited about a political campaign before. I'm glad his wife is doing better as well!

Yeah I have to agree with all the other posts ... this was a positive article. Trippy...

I don't agree with Dr. Paul on all his stances; however, he has my support. His campaign is the FIRST I have ever donated or given my time to.

It's his honesty, sincerity, integrity, knowledge, and conviction that make him my pick! Oh yeah - and about 95% of all his ideas.

Almost everyone would benefit from his ideas, including many wealthy people too!

I pray to God he wins!

After giving this some further consideration, I must also give an additional kudo's to Monsters and Critics. At least your group of writers have been balanced in your opinions and this is not often offered in most mainstream venues. I have added this site to my bookmarks and look forward to reading other material as well as well as passing on a link to this page.

I am proud to be an American when I see the way the Iowa straw poll seemed to cut through some of the hype created by the media that was in favor of the over financed candidates.

Back about 1915 or so we had a politician named Woodrow Wilson that accepted a bribe to create the Federal Reserve. They were a group of very powerful bankers and businessmen from around the world at the time. Through the monopoly of being the source of our money and by being outside of our government, or paying any taxes, they have built up a fortune that, I believe, includes owning most of the politicians of the world.

It is going to take a determined, We the People, to restore law and order in our government before we can restore law and order in our once great nation.

'I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.'

-Woodrow Wilson

It's really weird to see so many people getting excited about a Republican's fake presidential campaign.

I mean - here's a man who claims to be a Republican, but who has consistently spoke out *against* what the Republicans do. So, it's pretty darned clear that he has *no* intention of representing his constituents.

That's weird enough, but that his constituents support him anyway... well that's lunacy.

It's like the Republican party has actually gone *further* out of touch with reality... and are just desperately trying to elect anyone who will at least *pretend* to be a Republican.

That's just sad.

I like Ron Paul, i really do. Hes the best thing you could have hoped for in this time of surreal corruption. But thats just the problem. The voters dont really choose who will be President, the elite bankers do. The problem is you cant fight absolute corruption with democracy, its just too deeply rooted and well established to be upended by something as simple as a vote. I wish it was, but it just isnt.
You were sold out in 1913. Surely you must all know about the Federal reserve and its utterly corrupt introduction by an elite few on Jekyll Island. If not you should read 'The Creature from Jekyll Island -by G. Edward Griffin'.
Warburg, JPMorgan, and others with only self-interests drafted what would be the Fed Reserve and sneaked it in with bribes and threats to support the opposition of those who didnt 'agree' with them. This isnt speculation, this is a known fact if you care to research it.
Imagine how deep and widespread the corruption has become as it has had almost a Century to firm its roots into most aspects of the powers running our society, including the Mainstream media which is now a huge propaganda machine.
People should be looking at the Rockefellers and Rothschilds very closely as they are among the main puppeteers behind the scenes, although these dynasties are pretty much untouchable nowadays.
The funny thing is im not even an American or living in the USA, im from London, but i am concerned as we`re all in the same boat and we are all heading down a dead-end road.
Just you wait and see... someone in power is going to do something incredibly stupid soon (like start a war with Iran). The only profiteers from these wars are the cartel of bankers above the Government.

Please wake up - Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely

'There has been a steady increase in the Paul coffers for his continued participation as a GOP candidate, which is buoying the Doctor and his growing base of dissatisfied Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians and Green party members, liberal, moderate and conservative alike.'

That paragraph is music to my ears, and the reason Ron Paul really IS one of the front-runners in this presidential race.

Thank you for the inspiring article!

Ron Paul is the greatest hope for the nation in my view as he's the only one who understands the need to tackle the biggest issue - putting the power to create money back in the hands of the Federal Government. As Mayar Amschel Rothschild's famous quote goes 'I care not who controls the country, so long as I can control it's money'. Therein lies true power. The United States has been sold out, as Woodrow Wilson admitted. Ron Paul is the first Presidential candidate vowing to take the country back .

Ron Paul is the first candidate to whom I've given money. Sometimes I'm uneasy about the extreme reform some of his supporters want (abolishing the IRS etc), but Ron Paul is a balanced and principled politician like none I've ever seen. He seems too good to be true. Vote! I will, for the first time.

Read what David Walker, head of the Government Accountability Office, an investigative arm of Congress that audits and evaluates the performance of the federal government, has to say:

'that closing those gaps - $8 trillion for Social Security, many times that for Medicare - and paying off the existing deficit would require either an immediate doubling of personal and corporate income taxes, a two-thirds cut in Social Security and Medicare benefits, or some combination of the two.'

Congressman Ron Paul is the ONLY one willing to admit to this problem and deal with it.

Ron Paul will be the NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

Thank you for a balanced article on the one candidate who can possibly turn this country around from it's impending descent! Never before have I heard someone who speaks with such truth and conviction! And he has a long record in government to back it up. If he is not nominated, I will 'write' him in anyway! People who complain he is not Republican have simply forgotten what it means to be a true conservative republican in this country. Of course, he is unlike any other Republican candidate -- the rest of the candidates have all sold out and don't care about what happens to this country!

Ron Paul is the man! It's nice to see a libertarian constitutionalist running, I really hope he pulls into first. Funny, he stands for what real Republicans (the Goldwater crowd) and classical liberals (the Voltaire crowd, not the hitlery clinton crowd) SHOULD stand for.

@Sanders Kaufmann, are you a communist?

We will definitely need Ron Paul with the coming real estate bust/credit crunch and the weak dollar. Ron Paul will also get us out of Iraq and make us safer in the US by not creating enemies.

Thank you for such a 'positive' article. I hear again and again for those supporting other candidates about the 'fringe' group that Ron Paul attracts. Well, if that 'fringe' includes those who have not voted in a Presidential election in years, even volunteered for a political campaign or ever donated to a political campaign, yet are now doing all of these for Ron Paul-- count me 'IN!'

There are many who have stood on the sidelines, frustrated, given the obvious decline of our country's great heritage. For once in a very, VERY long time, we have a candidate that many truly speaks for 'We The People' and we don't feel the need to apologize for either our passion or patriotism.

I fully respect those who choose to support another candidate, as obviously they believe he/her a person worthy of their support. A little reciprocity from those other camps towards Ron Paul supporters would also be appreciated. Your article is that step in the right direction and 'thank you again' for publishing it!

If you think of it, the character of the candidate is the most important differentiator. A candidate can say, “No news taxes. Read my lips,” but if he is dishonest such promises are just political bait. Another candidate can tell us that he believes we should have a “humble foreign policy” and “not engage in nation building,” and then he goes ahead an invades Iraq and threatens Iran. First and foremost, vote for the honest man or woman, the one with unquestionable integrity. Ron Paul is such a person. He gets my vote. He gets my money.

I was planning to vote for Barack Obama for President in 2008 until last week. I have decided that the best person running for president so far is Ron Paul. I am also proud that he is also a Texan and a Virgo! lol My birthday is August 27 (Same as LBJ). I may spend the weekend in Galveston, Texas on that weekend. I have a good friend who lives in Texas City that I usually pass by to visit on my way to Galveston. Ron Paul will be in Texas City on that Sunday August 26 from 1-4PM for his birthday barbeque. What a great present to give to oneself! I am giving myself some barbeque, Texas City, and Galveston while helping to galvanize the presidential campaign of Rep. Ron Paul. What a great country we live in! We have to fix it! I love what Ron Paul had to say. We can expect those in Washington who broke it to fix it! We need change! We need real change Now! Gay.com does not speak for all GAYS! Not all GAYS are voting for Hillary Clinton! The time has come to galvanize and throw the political prostitutes out in 2007, 2008. Ron Paul for President 2008. James Partsch-Galvan for Houston City Council 2007.

Awesome. I just love to hear all the people who have never voted or been involved in the political process support Ron Paul and his message of liberty. With the Iraq War being the primary issue and the impending financial crisis the secondary issue, there is no candidate but Ron Paul who will handle those problems the right way. The others don't have the understanding of foreign policy disasters and economics necessary to be President. As we get closer to the primaries the voice of freedom gets louder and louder. It's music to my ears. Good stuff, everyone.

For the person that thinks abolishing the IRS is fringe or scary, just remember that the income tax only goes to pay the interest on the national debt. Not that we should default on our obligations but Ron Paul advocates a fiscally responsible balanced budget, one that cuts the unnecessary agencies and their massive budgets so the other taxes (corporate taxes, tariffs, excise taxes, etc.) will pay for the military, existing entitlements while they are phased out, and other necessary services of the federal government. The income tax would not be necessary as with financial responsibility and better efficiency we can even pay down that debt with those other taxes. The IRS will not be needed, at least not in their grand scope of 2007. And don't worry, it won't happen over night for some grave disruption.

One thing that sets Dr. Paul apart is the fact that he is always answering any questions that ANYONE has, always educating (even Rudy). I've learned quite a bit myself. America has been sinking as long as any of us has been alive so we're all like the proverbial frog in the pot. Back up a bit, read the constitution and perhaps a little Bastiat and then take a look at the republic and see who you are for in 2008 or, better yet who is for you.

He is the only GOP electable candidate and only hope to avoid US bankruptcy and return of military draft.

I think taxes are here to stay, and they will go up. I would happily pay a 20% flat tax if the money stayed in USA and went to legitimate defense spending, infrastructure, and top notch schools. As it is, I think Americans of all European descent are getting screwed as we watch our tax money blown on shady foreign wars, careless foreign aid, and untrustworthy 'allies'. We are also seeing the gov spend millions on catering to illegal aliens while currently giving them a slap on the wrist, and blowing millions trying to condition Americans to accept being replaced by militant aliens from mostly south continental american countries. If ron paul wants to pull the plug on this, he gets my vote.
