Michael Moore did his best, but the ball is now in the voter's court .So far the only response from republicans is statatic noise ,except for Bush opposing better health care for the children due to increased taxing .The health insurance bizness is now scrambling to evaluate a response to the damage done upon their image with the publiuc.

sadi's-boy - Don't ever tell anyone in my country what to do ever again.

Even though i do agree with a lot of things said in sicko, michael moore is complete scum profitting off of simple observations that anyone with half a brain could figure out themselves. (really, when profits involved things change? who know?) thats all he does, takes cheap shots at the govt. or whoever he decides to 'expose' (say really obvious things and get paid millions for it) he doesnt do anything and has no intention of doing anything but getting richer and getting fatter, he doesnt care about this stuff, hes only worried about the black and white like the insurance company, hes got you all snowed. i see his fat face and i just want to hit it with a baseball bat repeatedly. all he does is double talk, avoid questions, change topics, and blatently not answer anything he has not prepared a statemnt for (i dont do sound clips, well you sure know how to use them to your advantage). he is a hack, he is scum, he is a hypocrite, i put him in the same league as al sharpton. if you dont get why, dont worry about it, i didnt write this for you then.

Good heavens Maarick ,from the fine quality of your comment I do understand why you dont want anybody to comment on your president from abroad .Except from posting insults you have nothing to offer .Never seen anybody so enraged at demolishing his shop.

Maarick- I understand why you put Michael Moore in the same league as Al Sharpton (cause they're both fat...right?), but I don't understand the reaons you cite for hating michael moore. He makes movies to make a profit, true, but don't we all do what we do to earn a living? Should I discount the views of my doctor because he's only in it for the money? Avoid buying things from the grocery because they're only it for the money? The answer is obviously no we shouldn't, and most of us aren't just in it for the money either. The money is what keeps us going, but most Americans see what they do for a living as a part of the country. People need doctors, people need grocery stores, and people need people like michael moore to expose the corruption and stupidity taking place at the higher levels of society.

America gets what it votes for....LOLJul 22nd, 2007 - 05:55:27

I lived in America (California) for 15 years. Coming from Canada it was complete culture shock to us when a doctor would require a credit card and/or referral and/or a policy number before they would even look at you. The worst it ever got is when my wife was giving birth. Different doctors would come in and leave during her labor. Of course my wifes health and baby were most important so I failed to inquire with each doctor was under my medical plan. Sadly some were not hitting me with over $12,000 in bills for a fairly routine birth.

I watched sicko and it's so true. Growing old in America is risky. You can have everything taken away from you if you get sick. Enjoyed the people of America but your health care is taking away your American Dream.

Go Michael Moore! Your part of what America is and needs. I doubt he'll change much. The documentary 911 didn't seem to get construction going in New York. China is doing better in Beijing with the Olympics building.

Now with the declining value of the US Dollar, Bush, Cheney, Iraq, and the growing debt, the American dream is just slipping away.

Its stupid to say that people either want socialized health care or the status quo. No one wants the status quo, however the whole 3rd party payer system is the problem. Americans dont need health insurance, they need a market driven healthcare system with required (by law) catastrophic insurance. Medicaid will provide for those who cant afford catastrophic care.

Going to the doctor should cost 100-200 bucks. Buying drugs should be 100% buyer expense. Moan all you want, but this creates a competitive market. Everyone can get access, and if something catostrophic happens (cancer, car accident) then insurance will cover you.

Anyways, I saw sicko and it was a really not a well done documentary. The biggest problem with socialized medicine isnt the higher taxes, its the decreased access to care. If you dont believe me, talk to my grandparents in Vancouver BC.
