Michael Vick should not only be banned from the NFL for life, but should spend many years in jail having to fight in an arena much like the dogs he tortured to death. I wish this man nothing but pain, humiliation, constant rape and the disgrace and disgust of all true God caring creatures. There is no forgiveness for this.
These are the types of people who will beat their children and any other being they can manipulat and over power. As a society we need to take reponsibility too for the fact that people grow up to lack any character or morals and behave with such stupidity.

I think that people should write to the companies that sponsor Vick (Nike and Coke) and refuse to buy their products until they quit sponsoring someone who is involved in such unbelievable animal cruelty. The only good thing to come out of this incident is that it has perhaps brought dogfighting to the forefront and more people are now aware of it and will make a more serious effort to put an end to such barbaric behavior. Also, what happened to the Greek concept that a good athelete (role model for children) should also be a good citizen?

It's emotionally healthy to post such thoughts online rather than actually act on them, we're venting. Nobody here would (i hope) actually harm that scum for what he did. Put him in jail, yes, but to hold back our words and emotions for what he's made us feel? No way! He deserves the harshest of punishments for what he's done. It makes me want to lock my front gate permanently so no other dog can get in my yard and attack my little dachshund. This guy should be thrown in a pit with 10 of the creatures he created. After his inhumane and cruel ass loses he should have some electricity hooked up to his genitals and then drowned and shot in his face. Michael vick is not a human and what he did to these dogs was wrong, he is truly the biggest d***** bag in America. These dogs aren't human aggressive. They would have been easy for him to kill because they trusted him. I'm sure they gladly gave up their lives for these monsters. Tails wagging as they tortured the dogs. The reason these dogs were such great fighters is because they are fearless, loyal, courageous and able to endure an incredible amount of pain. If you would have put these men in the same room as these animals it would be the safest place in the world for the men.
Michael Vick is a good example of what happens when quick riches come to some one too easy. He is a phenomonal athlete. Maybe he should get on his hands and knees in the pit with one of the dogs and see how he does. If he loses they can wet him down real good and electrocute him. If he wins, just let him keep doing it over and over again till he loses. He would have just as good a chance as the dogs he abused. Hey, maybe they could even put him on the rape stand a time or two. :)
I have a pet dog who I love and I do not agree with the fighting of dogs, but I grew up in the South and always was aware of dog fighting. I know people who for some reason tied their manhood into how well their dog fought sad as that that is but that does not make them monsters. You would think Vick was into human smuggling and homicide the way people are talking. I wonder if the people so outraged by the Vick scandle are as outraged when poor families suffer here in America.
Wow I had to read some of the comments yall have made and to be such loving animal people a lot of yall show to signs of compassion for Vick. If he is guilty let the courts punish as they see fit but to wish death on a man and cruel sick torture is beyond evil. I guess the life of a man is worthless better to throw him in jail or make him fight in the pit. I am so disgusted by this story that it makes me physically ill. He should be given the highest degree of punishment allowable and should pay millions in fines that get redirected to the prevention of animal cruelty. Animals deserve to be treated like the living, breathing, feeling beings that they are and not as a source of entertainment or cruelty. I hope this really wakes up the world to the growing problem of animal abuse in our country.
What really scares me about this is the fact that there is so much bad publicity about pits to begin with and this only adds to it. Pits are by far one of the best animals out there. I have an 86 lb pit that is a therapy dog and actually goes and visits nursing homes. He loves it and they love him. Because of jerks like Vick Pits are being banned all over the place. I look at my dog and cry...The thought of him being put to sleep or banned from my town just because he is a Pit. Those of you who think pits are mean and bad dogs have never owned one. I got mine from a shelter in NC. I did not know that he was a pit till later. But know I would never own anything else.

Hmmm, guilty until proven innocent. If he is guilty than hopefully the punishment fit the crime. But, I say this. Where was dog fighting before the story broke. Who are the other 3 defendants. You have to love mob mentality. Because I don't know the facts, I won't speak for or against any involved, but it is a shame that people who care so much for animals can wish and show so much content for a fellow man. I can't wait until its over. Dog fighting has been around since who knows when and not that its right or fair, but it will continue, long after you have taken your teeth out of MV. I also got my pit from a shelter. And would never have another type of dog again. It's not the breed that is bad, just the owners. We were given dominion over all the earth by God. That means we are to take good healthy care of God's creatures. Not harm them. Breed specific legislation does not solve the problem. It only creates discrimination.
Should Vick be found guilty, I pray that he is made to pay. For there is no such thing as a real man who would abuse another person or animal. A rreal man is a man who has compassion and a strong sense of what is right aand what is wrong.

Phillips, and Tony Taylor don't deserve anything after what they have done. (Read the indictment).
Michael Vicks,is still getting paid from the NFL, while they are waiting to see if he is guilty or not. Vicks, was involved with this enterprise right from the start. He was very aware of what was going on. He even set up fights with other kennel/dog-owners. He collected winnings, and even gave his life/death decisions on what should be done with the defeated dogs. They are all responsible for their actions. Take Michael Vicks money away and donate it to establishments that help animals. Look at the kennels in your areas, turn them in, if they are breeding grounds for dog fighting areas. If it were up to me, the cruelty demonstrated by the torturing, maiming and killing these animals, and the public promotion of such acts, plus that I have not heard any word of remorse from him, would warrant at least five to ten years in jail. So I would opt for no plea deal and let the jury decide. One year in jail is not enough. Vick should also be banned from the NFL.

Now, Let's get the comments from the otherside! First off how dare you people! have you forgotten 'innocent until proven guilty'? So far the is no real proof that Vick is still involved. He might have started it. I believe that it is wrong, and it needed attention. He dismissed himself from the kennel after he became a superstar for the NFL. If it continued it was not by Michael Vick's choice. The men that are saying he is involved just wanted off easy. Michael Vick helped Virginia tech after the shootings...and he's a monster? Michael Vick is throwing a football 6 months a year. Training (in Atlanta) for 3 more months, and signing autographs for his endorsements the rest of the year. Where would he have time to run a kennel? This is just a simple case of pin it on who has the most money! I stand behind Michael Vick all the way!

Vick is a disgrace not only to the NFL, but to the entire human race. Personally, I think prison is too good for this type of scum. Adding insult to injury with regard to the atrocious and cruel 'sport' that was taking place off the football field, Michael Vick even looks like an evil character. Look, I do not condone dog fighting, but I do have a problem with the way people have gone about this thing with Michael Vick and what it has turned into for pitbulls. The way this thing has played out has made me question the hipocracy of this country. Sure Mike Vick is a superstar athlete, but does he really deserve to be treated more harshly than the normal man would. My answer is no. I don't understand how people can scream bloody murder over this, but then say nothing about hunting, or horse racing,or dog sledding. People watch boxing, and the UFC and enjoy it. But can't stomach two dogs fighting. That's crazy because I was always under the notion that humans were more important than animals. People say, well the two humans are willing partisipants, with a contract to fight. Well the fact is that the majority of these dogs are willing participants. There are also contracts on dog fights with rules set up to insure that the dogs servive. These fights have referrees,,, set weights, times and places. If it is ok for two willing people to set a contract to fight then why not dogs. I own pitbulls, my dogs don't fight though. I bought them that way because I have children and did not want to take the chance of an aggressive dog being around my children. Still I refuse to judge another man for what he does with his dogs. I will not condemn Mike Vick for dog fighting. To me what he choses to do with his dogs is his business. What I will condem him for is being dumb enough to associate himself with people who had no problem with spending his money, training these dogs,fighting these dogs, and repeeing the profits from it.Then when they got caught couldn't stand the heat. I fault him for associating himself with so called 'snitches'. Our president has us in another country killing people without cause. I think America has bigger problems to worry about than Mike Vick and his dog fighting. I dont know why some people can sit there and say 'why can people scream bloody over this and then not say anything about hunting,horse racing and dog sledding. I know I will probably take a lot of heat for these comments. But come on folk. Yes, what Michael Vick and the others did is unconsciousable (sp). I love animals and would never condone what Vick or anyone else did to torture these poor animals. But to say the man needs to die..is a little extreme. When did we become judge and jury of Vick? What I'm seeing and hearing here is two-sworded justice.
Too bad more folks aren't outraged over the recent shootings of three innocent young college students by illegal immigrants???
To all of you Christians out there, aren't we suppose to practice forgiveness and let the higher source of our being have the final say so in Vick's punishment? Haven't we all done something that we could have probably gone to jail for, but was lucky enough not to get caught?
We need to get off our high horses and moral judgments and let us without sin, be the first one to cast the stone.
We all reap what we sow, and I'm sure Vick and the others are doing just that.

Vick will accept his punishment and pay the consequences for his actions, and hopefully learn a valuable lesson about human decency. But in the meantime, let us not lose the lesson about human compassion.
I can only hope Michael Vick rots in jail & that some of his fellow inmates subject him to the same torture these innocent dogs were forced to endure.

Those poor dogs... looking at this ruined my day. If Vick plays in the NFL again, I won't be watching. Any game. I love football, but I love my dogs more. The only statement that I can make is to take MY money off the NFL's table. All I feel is sadness for those poor dogs with their once happy faces all torn up. So when you start thinking that you are more of a human than Mike Vick and BETTER than him, watch out, because in God's eyes, you really are no better. BEWARE, lest you take judgment of another being from God into your own hands. Be advised, in the end, it's God's opinion ONLY that really matters; HE has the final say.
People who love animals (who have no moral soul or accountability to God) more than other humans (who have an immortal soul and are accountable to God) have got it a bit backwards. Mike Vick's sin, as horrendous and reprehensible as it is, is also repentable and forgiveable. Look at Apostle Paul: he was murdering Christians left and right, and God forgave him, turned his life around, and used him to spread the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ to the known world.

I do not condone his actions in anyway and justice does need to be served but get real people!!!! These animal activist/animal rights people are absolutely insane. I'd be willing to put money on the fact that the majority of these 'people' place a higher value on the lives of animals than they do on human life. I think Vick's punishment should be to fund campaigns against dog fighting and animal abuse and actively participate in the fight against these things, wouldn't that be much more productive for everyone involved. What good does it do to lock someone up that does help people in his community and has the cash and the 'celebrity' recognition that could help actually do something about the problem. If the animal loving freaks would get their head out of their ass long enough to stop crying over the dogs that were harmed in the making of this film, maybe something would actually change.

This reduced me to tears of outrage. Harsher laws on cruelty against animals is definitly needed. Fines and short-term prison sentences simply aren't enough to pay for this sick thing.
