she is unkind and even if she has a factual point it is lost with such tactics. I for one am tired of pathetic attempts by bloggers cum political commentators to increase their own personal currency at the expense of others. In other words, she has nothing intelligent to say, only trying to stir the pot for her own reward. She will fade away soon from the public eye.

Good for Elizabeth Edwards that she stood up for decency and confronted that political whore and pathetic excuse for a human being, Ann Coulter! Coulter has a very long history of spewing poison and hate. Unless someone permanently tapes her mouth shut, this won't be the last time we'll be subjected to her despicable thoughts. Coulter's rabid attacks and polluted thinking is so completely in line with her other rightist cronies who lack the balls to say what she does. They nobly allow her to carry out their loathing of the opposition and cheer her on for more filthy remarks. I will never forget Coulter's other prized comment about then-President Clinton when she lamented, 'where is Lee Harvey Oswald now'? She is an extremely sick, disgusting pig of a woman. Big shame on you, too, Chris Matthews, for allowing such vermin on Hardball. It is appareent that you are solely after the ratings the outlandish behavior this bitch would generate for your show.

You are supposed to believe that Ms. Coulter is a brainless, bomb throwing, bigotted bimbo so as not to notice how she changed the dynamics of the Democratic campaign. Who has received the most press attention in the last 2 days and the most sympathy? John Edwards is now noticed again...Hillary and Barrack were getting all the press..Ms. Edwards put herself in the middle of this, maybe without Ann Coulters knowledge, maybe not, and re-ignites her husband's spot. Who wins..?? John hasn't had this much press since Ann Coulter's last verbal assault..

Anyone who is not respectful, who is rude and crude, or just plane cruel should not be given the time of day. Let alone be paid to speak.

Is Ann dating anyone these days? Has she ever been married? Does she have any children. Given the evidence it appears that John Edwards is anything but a 'faggot.' Can we say the same for Ann? Why doesn't she spend her time outing the closeted folks in the Bush Administration? I think Ann is munching some rug these days considering how she seems to be overly concerned with the sexual predilictions of others. I'm not an Edwards supporter but I'm just a sayin' Ann, are you still dating former RNC chief Ken Mehlman? Or is that even possible?

From Grandma eating dog food to world war III and the Orwellian police state, those 'mean spirited Bambi killing right wingers are going to ruin America'. I mean do we all suffer from collective or 'selective' memory loss? Edwards and his bunch are making mountains of cash in portraying themselves in ways that should be open to question. As in the case of the 'Fairness Doctrine' is free speech only applicable to the 'correct opinion' of the arbiter? Whom would that arbiter be? Coulter is no worse than Frankin or Maher and should be allowed to express her opinion. After all isn't that what free speech really is. Maybe the we should fear the approaching police state coming from the left instead of the right.

Now that is some accurate reporting. You left out the key word, 'If', as in 'If I had said I wished [Edwards] had died in a terrorist attack...'

Which is worse? To call Edwards a faggot or to wish he was killed in a terrorist attack like Bill Maher said about Dick Cheney? But you are so dense, the subtlety escapes you.

Ann Coulter is a dog! Why do people in the media think it is the thing to do to be a vulgar and hateful as they can. It's one thing to criticize someone's political ideas but to spew out hateful remarks shows a big lack of intelligence - as though you aren't smart enough to talk otherwise. She apparently has had some best seller books, but I always wonder that just because someone buys a book doesn't mean they liked it or would buy it again.
I watched her on the O'Rielly factor to see what she had to say, and she is really a dog who couldn't keep her hands out of her hair and her voice was really irritating.

If you think Ann Coulter is vicious, uncouth and rude, try reading the highly paid commentators in the ' N Y Times' who like to pretend that they represent the best and most erudite America has to offer. Check the poison from Maureen Dowd, Paul Krugman, Frank Rich etc. They make slanderous and sophomoric remarks and unproven innuendo against the administration that would not be allowed in a high school paper, but it's o k because they are in favor of socialist causes. When Molly Ivins was alive, she dipped into the same language cesspool for 'intelligent and witty' writing. The so called 'top' writers are no more civilised than the bottom...they just get paid more. Ann Coulter is just as guilty of crudeness as Maureen Dowd, but she gets chewed up for it because she is a capitalist.

She is denounced for even the slightest insult or attack, while those on the left make comments that are treasonous and no one says a word. Get the facts right before you write your articles. Politics is necessary. Politics is even interesting. But there is nothing necessary or interesting about Ann Coulter. She capitalizes on her outrageous language, lacking any true point or real meaning. Her 'show' is not her message, it's herself. Like Paris Hilton, she has nothing of substance to offer and she is all about shock value. So, as I did during and after Paris' jail term, I will turn off whatever form of media is desperate enough to give her any air time. I do not want my political arguments centering on anyone being called a 'faggot' or any other such obscenity. Like the silly song goes, 'keep it above the waistline, sunshine'. If you don't, I will turn you off, media moguls. Interesting how the right-wingers write in, claiming the left does this too. Find me a leftie who calls anyone a faggot! Except comedians, that is. Comedians are free to do whateveer they think is funny. Political commentators should be able to behave decently. So that cuts out Ann C.

I guess you do not mind that these lies cost us 3500 + soldiers in a war that you cannot even tell us when we will be successful???

Any politician that lies should be held accountable, but lies that cost should be punishable by imprisonment. Most of my right wing friends cannot support the lies and deception this administration has put forth, are upset at the lives lost by not having a plan for the war, are upset by the spending that has put this country in peril. It is nice to see how sensitive some folks can get when they are put on the defensive about their own freedoms of expression. When Lefty tools like Michael Moore are allowed to portray the 'evil' ways of this administration, they go unchecked by the so called media that is supposed to deliver unbiased news. When someone like Ann Coulter speaks out against the Leftist machine, and the 'news' agencies that support it, she is immediately called a 'bitch' and a 'whore'? When Leftist politicians bash our troops, the same troops who are providing the luxuries of freedom and safety to all Americans, they give no apologies. Why should who confronts these politicians have to be quiet, or apologize for demonstrating free speech?

It is a shame that this type of speech has to be spoken to get a point across, by either party. I am, however, pleased to see that someone is standing up and starting to 'play dirty' against the Lefty's who try so many under-handed and deceitful tactics in tryin to convinve the American people that their view is the only view and if you don't conform to them, then how dumb you must be. Odd how even the most profound Liberals have to have another Liberal tell him what to think. If you cant fend for yourself, that's a good way to end a population.

Reminds me of when Rush runs a sound bite of a Democrat and then replys. And the Democrats scream like a cat whose tail has been stepped on hard. Clearly, this speaks to the failure of our educational system and the spiritual paucity of our society. Ann Coulter's remarks resonate with a great many people who feel smarter and better when someone else is being trashed. At root, this is a moral failing but we have to hope that education can eventually move our society in a more constructive direction. Meanwhile, the people that are not entirely clueless should do some moral work *ourselves* and refuse to support such trash as Coulter's and Limbaugh's pseudo-intellectual garbage.

The insistence that coulter is a comedian has become as tiresome as the disparate marginalized groups that banded together to give themselves a newfound strength to counter the elements of our democracy they despise, from abortion to religion to governmental socialist programs to protections for the vast minorities to the judicial system to the constitution. whew.

In the past year these groups have become more aware that they were duped by charlatans who told them anything they wanted to hear and have taken some of their grievances to the public. Our political bias and prejudices have led to at least the perception that certain groups will supoort one party or another and there is some validity to that. Blacks are no longer a 99% bloc for the democrats and the evangelicals have been very dismayed that they no longer have even cursory input into gop policy.

ann coulter plays to these tragically groups who do not even comprehend the damage they do themselves by asserting for years that she is a comedian. i have yet to see an audience laugh. the truth is she reflects the deep-rooted hatred that has been the primary motive for gop supporters who loathe democrats far and above any foreign enemy. they parrot the party lines regardless of whether they have any basis in reality and installed their dream team of a gop federal government in all three branches. the real humor in that is the continued tirades against democrats when the ill-conceived policies of the gop fail.

one of the greatest delusions they suffer is the fairytale fantasy that holding corporations accountable is directly responsible for low salaries. the adamant refusal to insist closing the gap between ceo's and standard employees is far more damaging than the incessant cacophony directed at lawyers whose greatest achievements have been those which benefit everyone throught the imposition of rules and regulations. the vast majority do not understand the most basic of procedural matters so they have no idea what results ultimately determine the
outcome of a case.

perhaps the worst trait is the attacks on americans who bring to the public forum the experience that puts a personal face on the cost of ill-advised policies. the standard response to families who have suffered the death of loved ones or soldiers who have served in times of war is to attack them for citing the real-world impact this has on americans. when the modus operandi for the gop upper echelon is to avoid miltary service in order to realize obscene profits by sending others to war is despicable. to claim that people are happy that their family members have been killed as a result of the ill-conceived policies of the gop is insulting, disgraceful and dishonorable whether it takes place today or three years ago.

i love my country and chose to serve in the national guard. i have been on one short tour in iraq. there is little to equate the attacks i get from the pusillanimous pachyderns as they attempt to divert attention from their cowardice. it is shameful and in no way is support of our troops. supporting the disastrous policies of team w runs directly in contrast to support for those who are asked to shoulder that burden.

this atrocity has yet to stir amusement, mirth or jocularity within me, so would someone please explain the joke?
