The waiting is over, super Hollywood chieftain Steven Spielberg today has officially selected Hillary Rodham Clinton as his pick for our next President.

Clinton's official website posts the "influential filmmaker and philanthropist Steven Spielberg today announced that he is officially endorsing Hillary Clinton for President. Spielberg said that he has chosen to endorse Clinton because of her experience and strength."

“I’ve taken the time to familiarize myself with the impressive field of Democratic candidates and am convinced that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate to lead us from her first day in the White House,” Spielberg said. “Hillary is a strong leader and is respected the world over. As president, she will bring America back together, rebuild our prestige abroad and ensure our protection here at home.”

Spielberg has established many philanthropic endeavors, including the Righteous Persons Foundation using all his profits from his film, "Schindler's List."

He also founded Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, which has recorded more than 52,000 Holocaust survivor testimonies.

Spielberg executive produced “The Last Days,” the Shoah Foundation’s third documentary, which won the Academy Award® in 1999 for Best Documentary Feature.

Spielberg is the chairman emeritus of the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, which combines the efforts of pediatric health care, technology and entertainment to empower seriously ill children.

Spielberg is a principal partner of DreamWorks Studios, and has directed, produced, or executive produced some of the biggest films of all time, including “Jurassic Park” and “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.”

IMDB list Spielberg's awards, and notes he is a three-time Academy Award® winner, earning two Oscars® for Best Director and Best Picture for “Schindler’s List,” and a third Oscar® for Best Director for “Saving Private Ryan.”

I disagree with aboveJun 13th, 2007 - 18:29:08

it is newsworthy because the scuttle has been that Spielberg was chucking Clinton like David Geffen did-and he isn't, so very very interesting
still won't vote for her..but interesting

I blame Steve Spielberg for our current situation in America. His Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers, based on the only World War where there was a clear evil villian, got all these sheep hot for combat. Then it only took some building getting blown up on T.V. that every American could recognize and EVERYBODY(except me) was ready for war.Never underestimate the power of suggestion.Spielberg got this ball rolling.

Her vote on the resolution to authorize the war is indefensible. It demonstrated her lack of courage to take a stand. Had she voted against the resolution with Robert Byrd and Rus Feingold, and others she would be my hero.

There is only one winnable ticket that is 'Gore/Obama'

I could care less what Spielberg thinks. Why do people look up to, and respect what Hollywood has to say? They're nothing but a bunch of actors, drug addicts, and wanna-be artists. Why do people think they know so much more than we do? I'm voting for Hillary for my OWN reasons (she's intelligent, fair, gutsy, etc. everything we need in a president- but needs to change her view on illegal immigrants, they all need to go home and come back legally) Why would they write a story about what Spielberg thinks? Then again, why did I read it?

who care what spielberg says or do. He should of endorsed Barak. Did he not adopt a or two biracial children? Give the a role model someone that looks like them, let them know they can esteem to reach the same level.

Barak is very well spoken, educated, and as far left as any socialist I have ever seen---you want high taxes and the goverment completely running your life--then go with him---also the fact that spelburger didn't even look at the GOP group or Independents shows how shallow he is
