Now the other shoe falls. It took a weekend of processing the data, reading the actual Deputy Mee handwritten reports, speaking to insiders that predicted it was going to happen sooner or later, but “Mel Gibson Monday” now features the pundits and powerbrokers of Hollywood weighing in on the potential outcomes for the Aussie Opus Dei-er providing an opinion on how this incident will affect Gibson's career.
Harvey Levin’s TMZ has now unearthed even more delicious savory bits, learning that Mel Gibson has twice been stopped for reckless driving in Malibu, but given a pass by officers.
Facts: Gibson was arrested on Friday for suspicion of driving under the influence on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, driving 87 miles an hour. Deputy Mee, who arrested Gibson was ordered by Sheriff Lee Baca and others to sanitize his arrest report to make it appear that Gibson's arrest was "without incident." Gibson was, in fact, abusive, violent and vulgar, and even attempted to resist arrest and escape.
According to TMZ, “approximately three years ago, Gibson was driving 74 miles per hour on Pacific Coast Highway, one mile from his house, when he was pulled over by a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy. Sources say Gibson avoided eye contact with the deputy during the stop and even though the deputy was suspicious of Gibson's sobriety, he let him go.”
“Approximately one year ago Gibson was stopped again, after driving 64 miles an hour on Pacific Coast Highway -- where the speed limit is 45. Sources say that Gibson was so cocky that he was on his cell phone the entire time he was detained by the deputy. Ultimately, the deputy decided to let him go without giving him a citation.”
Third time was not the charm for the leading man of Malibu.
TMZ confirms that Mee, who arrested Gibson, was ordered to re-write his report and eliminate the “touchy” references to Gibson's bad conduct and anti-Semitic remarks.
According to TMZ, “Lt. Crystal Miranda told the arresting deputy that Captain Tom Martin talked to Sheriff Lee Baca who expressed concern that the explosive report might leak to the media and that it needed to be re-written in a sanitized form.”
Hollywood heavies are starting to weigh in with their opinion. Agent Ari Emanuel states on HuffingtonPost.com: “I wish Mel Gibson well in dealing with his alcoholism, but alcoholism does not excuse racism and anti-Semitism. It is one thing when marginal figures with no credibility make anti-Semitic statements. It is a completely different thing when a figure of Mel Gibson's stature does so. Even when he sobers up and apologizes.”
"It's a nuclear disaster for him," said publicist Michael Levine, who has represented Michael Jackson and Charlton Heston. "I don't see how he can restore himself."
Emanuel goes even further, stating that sometimes money is less important than bigotry, and that a Mel boycott needs to occur: “People in the entertainment community, whether Jew or gentile, need to demonstrate that they understand how much is at stake in this by professionally shunning Mel Gibson and refusing to work with him, even if it means a sacrifice to their bottom line.”

i just want mei gibson doin another lethal weopon 5 if so i think iy will be a great film. bring all the cast back please make lethal weopon 5.
The world has no idea what prompted Mel's 'jew slurs'. It could be one of his kids was in Isreal and he and his wife were fighting over that, it could be that he had just talked to his dad and he was repeating part of their converstation. There are MANY possibilities, and yes one of them is that he hates Jews. I'm a Mel fan from way back and Mel says what he thinks. IF he was a jew hater then he never would have called his statements 'dispicable.' Instead he would have stood silently behind the scenes saying nothing.
Last time I checked this was still a free country and he has the RIGHT to think and say anything he wants! We, the people, are not married to the man and every person in the news does not have to be 'sanitized', squeaky clean, boring. Not everyone has to love jews or hate jews or black people or white people etc. YYou get the idea. We just have to live together without violence and what the press is doing to Mel is tandamount to violence! The press is destroying this man's life! Mel got drunk, said things he says he didn't mean. Drunk people are known to do that (and Ari and Foxman and Levin have done it too!) I say 'Leave the man alone and let him make movies. He's good at that!'
Why is it that Foxman who is the biggest contributor to this thing staying alive in print has suffered nada? HE's the one spreading the hate! He
obviously hates anything and everyone that is not jewish! Why does he get slack and Mel does not?
And why is it that whoever 'leaked' the report (that was thrown out--and cops DO have to re-wrtie their reports on occassion!) isn't getting any flack?? This person should be the one strung up for going against policy.
Lady, did you even read the article?
Mel Gibson separated himself from 'Hollywood' quite a long time ago. He committed the unpardonable sin. He took a movie to the major Hollywood production companies who evaluated it and passed judgement upon it as unworthy in terms of subject and audience appeal.
Mel then financed the film on his own and made hundreds of millions of dollars as well as demonstrating that a movie about the Passion of Christ had huge popular appeal. All the while, Hollywood accused him of anti-semitism, snubbed him in terms of artistic merit by refusing to recognize his film in the Academy in any meaningful way.
Mel now has enough money to produce any film he wants on his own without needing 'Hollywood.'
I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suggest that maybe, just maybe, mind you, those jumping all over him on this issue, already don't like the man, resent his success and would really prefer he not demonstrate again that he can succeed without them.
Wow he really showed his butt. Serves him right for making that pathetic depiction of Christ slasher movie.
And moviegoers need to let it be known that they will not go to the theater to see, rent a video/DVD or watch on TV any Gibson movies. Then the entertainment industry people won't even have to worry about their 'bottom line,' as there won't be any.
I used to love Mel - but I'm done.
Mr. Gibson has right to his opinion.it does't matter who it offends. If the jewish people in this country are so offended by someone speaking thier mind, regardless of thier stature, then they should move to Israel.
But i suspect they will use their secret weapon,'SUE'
I wasnt very interested in Apocolypto, but now will go out of my way to see it just because of the arrogance of some who think that the world should end when they are 'offended'; get over it...
Mel Gibson is a idiot!! He owns Malibu?...(I happen to know a Jew that owns 100 acres in Malibu) The Jews are responsible for all the wars?...He was showing his true colors when he made these statements. Alcohol does NOT make you say something you don't believe. As an ex-cop, I know people tend to run at the mouth when drunk. They say what they believe and alcohol makes it easier. I will NEVER spent a penny that migh benefit Gibson in any way.
Mel is wrong to make anti-semetic statements. I'm quite sure that Gibson knows that some of the world's nicest and kindest people are Jewish. Many of my favorite people (John Stewart for instance)are Jewish. And, some of the world's worst power abusing evil doers (Rupert Murdoch)are also Jewish. The Anti-semetism thing has been done to death, and it doesn't take into account that many Jews are more racist and bigotted than any anti-semite could ever be. My guess is that Mel had been attacked non-stop by radical Jewish groups (who hold incredible amounts of power in the US media and government) because his Jesus film was deemed to scapegoat Jews for the killing of Jesus. It's alright, though, for Jewish leaders to accept killing non-Jews (Lebanon)and being against Jews marrying non-Jews, and sponsoring hate propaganda in the the US media (Fox news), and all other forms of crimes against humanity, because these acts aren't anti-semetic. We need to see the forest for the trees, and allow those anti-semetic remarks just as we allow Jewish organizations to attack those opposed to Zionism. If it is illegal to speak against Jews, then it should be just as illegal to make such comments about Muslims, liberals, etc...
What's good for the goose should be also good for the gander. If we are to stop hate speech for good, get Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Coulter and their ilk and put them in jail for inciting hatred against liberals and maybe arrest the Bush gang along with Olmert and his ghouls while we're at it. They are responsible for more anti-semetism than anyone in many years. Everyone knows these creeps are bankrolled by Jewish owned or Israeli-sympathetic corporate interests. All the propaganda (PR) in the universe can't hide the facts.
No one should hate anyone for any reason but his/her deeds. And using this yardstick, it is the US administration and anyone seen to be backing them, that really deserves the acrimony for their reckless waste of human life on a large scale.
To reflect reality, the old nursery rhyme
'sticks and stones could break some bones but words would never hurt you.'
must change to
'Missiles and bombs can break Lebanon, and Mel Gibson's words hurt the Jews.'
Frankly, I believe the current crisis in the Middle East is occupying most everyone's mind. Mel Gibson's intoxicated remarks about wars should be treated as a serious political opinion, not anti-Semitic remarks. It's an accusation. If Mel Gibson told the truth, the truth hurt. If he didn't, all the Jews who are angry at him should avoid throwing mud at him and prove that he's wrong.
It's both amusing and depressing to look at the Gibson Fans trying to explain away this guy's obvious bigotry. Alcohol lowers inhibitions, and the Real Opinions come out quick. It's not an isolated incident, nor will it be the last. He's an arrogant bigot and got nailed on tape. Get over it!
On the other hand, I sure wish there was this much furor over Cynthia McKinney and her years of bigoted remarks and actions. Mel thinks he's a protected class, but McKinney and her ilk are simply bulletproof. How about we give all bigots the negative attention they deserve, and not just the Politically Unpopular ones?
I agree, put away the stones, but please, don't invoke the lord's name when defending the indefensible (Bush). Jesus has NOTHING to do with Bush. Bush bashing is an honourable thing for any REAL christian to do. Though shalt not kill, remember?
Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 and Mad Max were awesome movies. I love them, and will continue to watch his early movies. I'm not interested in his recent and current movies because they're very boring.
As for what he thinks of jewish people, I disagree with him.
the Lethal Weapon 5 headline is too damn funny!
'It's a nuclear disaster for him. I don't see how he can restore himself,' said a publicist who has represented Michael Jackson.
Things are pretty bad when a guy who had to explain the purchase of the Elephant Man's bones and Crisco-sponsored Boy Scout sleepovers thinks you're f**ked. [AP]
It is all very sad, and I feel that the disgrace is on all of us.
This story does of course encourage bigotry when it is already there (Mel's father cannot be wrong, can he?), and atheism when it is already there (is this the generous guy who wanted to promote Christianity? Who needs his kind?).
I am quite sure that the only thing it really promotes is more despair in many addicts (if a guy who has so much money cannot get free, how can I?) and it is saddening. The man has power and he is irresponsible.
I don't see what good it does to any of us or to Mel and his family. Wish I could help: even a rich racist needs a hand at times like this.
As of wars, you and I are responsible for it, because we have a vote and we invest little interest in international affairs.
Saying that war is all because of the Jews, or Christians or Muslims, or Presidents is just a way of saying 'It is not me','I wash my hands of this one' and most of us in every darn country around the world say the same thing (like saying it is nobody).
It's curious that all of the seriously outraged are...Jews! Why is it that saying something anti-semetic is unpardonable but all of the rhetoric directed at muslims is deemed not so bad because they hate our way of life or some such nonsense? They (the outraged Jews) are really showing their true colors. It's a shame that hate speech is alive and well at places such as Fox News and never condemned by those same Jews.
Mel Gibson is a smart guy, very smart. Believe me, he planned all of this, all of it. Mel know exactly what's he's doing.
You know it is hard to face fact but the fact is that most wars the jews are responsible for like it or not history is history.
All wars even the one now is not over oil but religion, and power.
Sion is a jewish organization that has a strong hold on world affairs.
Even the president does not make his own decissions.
Do not be fooled there are higher powers that controlled world affairs! That is where the saying money talks comes into play.
They would all like to use some excuse to hid the fact but fact is fact and the story is a somewhat bias opinion when the people reporting it are owned by the people involved!
In closing a 60 year old story is wearing thin with the majority of the population after all it is also a bias story!
It is about time someone said something I for one am sick of this 60 year old one side whining get over it!
Good for you Mel!
Too bad Hollywood is run by Jews you may pay for that.
If he's a bigot or not far off the mark--who cares? He was messed up and he was mad. Plenty of people have said worse and there has been no publicity and therefore no public outrage. This man can say whatever he wants to say--isn't that the basic tenet of democracy? That's why we are allegedly there in Iraq----for good old democracy and the right to speak your mind. Before the powers,,as we know it, can call for any boycott of this man and his works --let us ask ourselves a question. How was his behaviour any different from any other DUI--and could perhaps his rantings be absolutely correct in ancient and modern historical context?
For my part I have more respect for him now then ever. I am proud to stand behind Mel Gibson.
Calling for a boycott is just advertising for Mel (no harm done) - it always has the opposite effect to what was intended - any advertising is good advertising (usually).
The fact is that US AM hate-radio and the Fox network's very existence is enough proof that we are manipulated by Jewish-owned interests and lied to every day of our lives. The World Bank and US Federal Reserve of course are run by the real bosses.
Like it or not - there is bound to be a backlash against these craven institutions as they strive to brainwash the public into believing the big lies and historical fantasies - not everyone are sheep and truth eventually finds it's way, and no amount of spin will make GW or Blair look like statesmen.
Hail King Rupert, or Rothschild, or Rockefeller or whoever these guys answer to!
Jews managed to make anti-semitic label into sort of arm-patch they attach to people who disagree with jewish views of the world in just about any aspect. Gibson's ranting was not appropriate but hold you labels jews - you are too quick to label others so why should you be so annoyed by being labeled youself? Jews I know are very racist believing they are above other people so maybe that ego trip causes them to go berserk when anyone says anything bad about observalbe traits of jewish people or politics (Shakespeare being the greatest anti-semite of all).
I liked what the person said about everything and everyone having to be 'sanitized' in what they say and do in this politically correct age. Yet, look at all the horrible things the Bush bashers say and the liberal press and Hollywood thinks it's great.
Seems there's quite a bit of hypocrisy going on in the press. What's new? Hey.
Mel Gibson has a problem – a drinking problem. Everyone knows out of control drinking makes for loose lips. Like he himself said, his actions and words were despicable. But, that one moment in time does not define the man.
Mel Gibson is beloved by so many people for good reason. It's not his looks – but that's part of it. The reality is he has an inner charisma that shines through. It's something that can't be manufactured by Hollywood agents. It's something that makes up the essence of his character.
Sure, he's flawed. After all, he's human. But, there is a passion in the man – for life and justice and ideals that's so far beyond the materialistic Jewish mentality of Hollywood and the press.
Mel Gibson has a lot going for him. Right now he may not think so. He genuinely cares about family and friends and his fans, and he loves his Lord, Jesus Christ. He's feeling overwhelmed for one reason or another. Maybe he's having personal problems. He's also under a lot of pressure with his latest movie. It's behind schedule.
Look at Noah as in Noah and the Ark. He followed God's instruction and built the ark, preserved the animals, and started civilization all over again after the first civilization was wiped off the face of the earth. Yet, at the end of his days, Noah became an alcoholic. Was God disappointed in him? Probably. Did God abandon him? No. Noah was counted as one of the righteous of God. Matter of fact, before the Flood, he was the only one accounted to be righteous in God's sight.
I for one adore Mel Gibson for the very reason the majority of Hollywood hates him. Mel was faithful against all odds in producing The Passion of the Christ. He couldn't have done it without the blessing of the Lord. The Lord finds him righteous even with all his human frailties and flaws.
The essence of Mel's character is not about hate. It's about love. He's a loving human being. But, he has a drinking problem. We're suppose to help our fellow man in trouble, not try to destroy him.
Those in the Malibu Police Department who tried to prevent the details from being made public did a good thing. According to reports, they did everything according to policy. They gave the facts of the case to the DA without providing the press with a field day. The person who did wrong was the one who leaked the case to the press.
God bless Mel Gibson and God bless his family. Mel, may the Lord watch over you all and get you through this. The Good Book says that strong drink gives the appearance of something good in the beginning, but in the end, it 'bites like an adder.' Hope you learn something from all this and never touch another drink of liquor. It wouldn't hurt to hire a chauffeur either.
Jewish Hollywood, the 'sin' capital of the world, needs to remember the words of Jesus, whether they believe in Him or not. 'You who are without sin cast the first stone.'
Take your stones and go home.
Danielle wants you to buy one of her t-shirts and help send her to community college for another semester (and keep her out of porn) SHOW MEL GIBSON YOURS!

All you guys are being lil b!tches! Big eff'in deal if he said something about someone. We ALL pass judgement and we are ALL racist in some way or another! So get off your high-horse people; your no better than Mel Gibson! I still respect for his movies! Stop your whining b!tches!

Mel Gibson's statement:'Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world' re-established liberal truth and is since John Locke and Jan de Witt's statements
against LEVIathan(C.P.: The STATE) the since centuries overdue return of a tacit
truism all over the world.
