A Mexican government official who was in Washington DC to advance the meeting in New Orleans between President Bush and Mexican President Calderon was caught stealing Blackberries off of a table that didn't belong to him.

FOX News reports that a Mexican press attaché was caught on camera by Secret Service stealing several White House BlackBerries during a recent meeting in New Orleans,

Sources with knowledge of the incident said the official, Rafael Quintero Curiel, served as the lead press advance person for the Mexican Delegation and was responsible for handling logistics and guiding the Mexican media for the event

Apparently FOX cliams Curiel took six or seven of the handheld devices from a table outside a special room in the hotel where the Mexic.an delegation was meeting with President Bush earlier this week.

The reason the devices were there is protocol. It is a common practice when high-level meetings are held.

American officials discovered their missing belongings when they were leaving the session.

Big Brother aka the Secret Service officials watched the theft go down, and reviewed the videotape taken by a surveillance camera that confirmed Quintero Curiel lifted the BlackBerries.

Sources said Quintero Curiel made it to the airport before Secret Service officers caught up with him.

He denied the theft, but after he was shown the footage of him stealing the jig was up.

Quintero Curiel claimed it was an "accident"  - gave them back - then claimed diplomatic immunity and left New Orleans with the Mexican delegation unscathed.

The news comes hard especially after President Calderon actively encourages Mexican citizens to head north to find work - and send money back to Mexico.

The presidential candidates are finding immigration and relations with Mexico a key issue that they must deal with due to pressure from irate American voters.
