1,000 Taiwanese to have foot massage to set Guinness World Record

Taipei - Some 1,000 Taiwanese will sit down for a foot massage in Taipei Tuesday to set a Guinness World Record, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau said Monday. The 1,000 participants, including foreign visitors, will receive 40 minutes' of foot massage, or reflexology treatment, from 1,000 masseurs at the Taipei Arena Tuesday afternoon. The event will be held by the Tourism Bureau and four Taiwan reflexology associations. If things go as planned, Taiwan will set a second Guinness World Record - the largest game of head, shoulders, knees and toes. The current record for this is 448 people, but the participants and masseurs in the Taipei arena will total 2,000, so they are expected to set a new world record.
