It is just an add people. One cannot expect the Swedish company to do everything the 'American' way. They are their own company and therefore are entitled to do whatever they please. Whatever happened to the American believe....'freedom of expressionn'?
I love Absolut and therefore won't stop drinking it.

May I please ask who much cares about Vodka anyway? To me it is all the same junk, 80 proof. Now if someone could come up with say 90 proof vodka then they would have something. And also who cares about Mexico? I for one certainly don't. Let them pick our fruit and veggies!

There are more than 300 million people in the USA, I would hardly call a blog site with less than 75 posts (many of which are not anti-Absolut) 'over reacting' by Americans. Perhaps it is you who is over reacting by reading way too much into these few commnents.
I find American's to be very much like pouting children. Look at what they did when France refused to fight in their oil war (AKA Iraq)... they changed the name of french fries to freedom fries. This whole vodka ad is the exact same thing. Grow up America and stop crying about everything.

Absolut of Sweden was just sold for multi. Billions just a month ago to a out of country bidder, the other bidders were one of most powerful rich families in Sweden AND the government, who put up retirement funds, but…… lost out to a French firm.
This is just in-house business terrorists or corporate sabotage. Swedish politics I guess?
We love our Mexican friends and they just want what we in the Americas have. And that’s why a lot of Mexican/Spanish/others stayed here and even fought and became part of the new Americas.
But dreams of borders being moved, to accommodate your illegal entry? Meh?!

The map is nowhere near historical. Canada didnt come into existence until 1867, Jamaica and Cuba werent independent, Belize didnt exist (it w as named the Mosquito Coast then) etc etc.
Even leaving that out, the US-Mexican border shown isnt the historical one until the Mexican-American War 1846-48. The map shows Mexico gobbling up additional parts that were never Mexican - most of Oregon, the southern half of Idaho etc.

I want to live in a 3rd World country . My Mexican relatives left Mexico because they suck at governing . If Mexico controlled more territory it would just be a larger dump than it already is .
And we criticize Americans for being patriotic . Mexicans Russians Canadians Europeans are more blindly patriotic than Americans .

'In an Absolut World'... rather says it. Try drinking a whole bottle of flame water and you will also see the world different. It is not an insult to the USA. It is saying something else, entirely.
'Absolut' world sounds like a dream world rather than one of metal and tanks and war and politics. It is the world of the soggy dreams of a people who lost a war. And half their lands.
Maybe Absolut will run a campaign about the Absolut conquest of communism to make American's happy. Perhaps in an Absolut world the entire Americas would be one colour. Perhaps in an Absolut world people would live under the sea. That kind of romantic musing.
All these Americans giving up their Absolut for Stoli are drinkers of top shelf alcohol. I do not trust them to remember when they are at the bar.
