That some obese people eat several huge plates of food and should be charged more. Even fat kids will have plates and plates overflowing - disgusting!

Why shouldn't people who eat several large plates of food be charged more. I have to pay full adult price and only eat half the food on my plate. It doesn't pay for me to go to a buffet, so I usually don't go, I do better with single entrees and smaller portions.

I've gone into a buffet where obese people are walking back and forth with huge plates of food, and they are still there doing the same thing when I leave. They SHOULD be charged more!

My husband is at ideal weight and he eats 2 x's as much as me and I am obese. There are as many average size people who, when they are at an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET, will eat ALL THAT THEY CAN. Obese people are much more focused on and scrutinized when it comes to eating. If this restaurant does not want to allow their customers 'All they can eat', they should change their menu to a per item ordering system. period.

If a buffet advertises 'all you can eat' they don't have a reason to complain, but if it just says 'buffet', then I feel like they could and should charge more for those who go way over a reasonable amount. People have turned into gluttons.

Hey,

Resturant owners should not have 'all you can eat' if they don't mean it. that is false advertising.
Now, 6'3' and 277 is not that heavy. It really isn't.
If a restaurant is going to charge for extra trips, they should make that clear, right off the bat. I think it is ridiculous that they charge more for one area than another (he went to crab legs a lot??) my god, thats pathetic. And the owner doesn't even speak English?
THE WORST PART- is what the waitress said!!! That was NOT the way to handle it AT ALL. She should be sued personally (on top of the company) and fired. That girl should never be allowed to work as a waitress, or anything else in customer service again. That was the part that just blew me away. What a female dog.
SO here's to the fat people of the world, and the not so fat who just get told that it looks like they are pregnant! It is discrimination in the way she said it, so that restaurant better prepare to get sued like nothing else. Actually, I'm considering calling them and telling them just what I thought of their little scheme.
Boycott Manchuria's! Who's with me?

The idea of foreign nationals telling US residents how to eat is unacceptable. If your English isn't perfect, then why are you here running a business - and minding someone else's business? This smacks of discrimination, and if this restaurant treats its valuable 'repeat' customers in this way (the most valuable customers in the restaurant business) I can almost guarantee that they will be out of business shortly. The waitress is lucky, very lucky, I feel. 'Baby in belly' can get you 'fist in face', especially in the deep south - she's lucky that the big men were gentle-men

'ALL YOU CAN EAT' means 'ALL YOU CAN EAT'. The above poster who says that her thin husband can out eat her, and she's overweight, is correct. My skinny girlfriend eats fast food, lasagna, etc. while I eat a strict 1200 calorie a day diet, and I'm fat. I even exercise!! It's all in the metabolism of the individual, and sometimes diabetes, or other disorders. An all you can eat buffet should take their sign down if they don't truly mean it. If I were a judge, I'd bury them as deep as I could for doing this.

What do....Jan 5th, 2008 - 02:20:41

The people who are not fat and eat twice as much as any fat person get to pay? Regular prices right? See...? That there is just a case of some louieville chickadee digging her claws in because she is disgusted by the overweight. Another thing though....Orientals don't tip. She was probably just taking it out on them for the umpteenth visit w/no tip.
Still unprofessional and there would be a case if they got the right attorney.

Americans are fat, and it is about time that somebody stood up and said something. yes there are a few exceptions where people struggle with their weight because of medical condtitions. But using the old adage of I have slow metabolism, I am big boned is a poor excuse for a society that is turning into big blobs. Why is it that when I go to Texas size 4 falls of me, some stores in North America a size 2 and others a 6, yet in europe I am always a size 10. Cause North Americans are getting so fat that clothing companyès wanyt to make you feel better about yourself so that you keep buying clothes to cover your obese bodies.
On top of the fact when americans get all offended and come back with remarks of he can barely speak english he shouldnt be running a business. America is a capitalist country last time I checked, he has every right to own a business and to charge customers whatever he wants. And the guy with the skinny girlfriend just because she is skinny doesnt mean that all that crap she is eating isnt lining her arteries with plaque building up until one day she suffers a stroke, or heart attack and you live in the states so you go bankrupt because you cant afford her healthcare.
one last thing, if you are following a strict diet and exercise and not getting results it might be time to try something new, different types of exercise and eating plans will help different people and if you are not getting results try a change in your routine.

I AGREE with EMILIE 200%! I HOPE THOSE 2 MEN SUE THE PANTS OFF OF THE RESTAURANT AND THE WAITRESS!!! If it states ''ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET'' then you should be able to do just that! They were discriminated against and should be sued. I am 125lb and can eat 3 plates of food,a lot of people can. False advertisement and insults make BAD Buisness!!!

ALL YOU CAN EAT, means precisely that!

So, they have no right to charge extra if you happen to eat more. If it says, all you can eat, then it means, all you can eat, and if they charge you extra, then that is false advertising!

If they have a buffet that says, All You Can Eat for $5.00 then that means that I pay my $5.00 and I can eat as much as I like and they don't have a right to charge me extra because I eat more, and if they do, I'll just call the Better Business Bureau.

I suggest the you all look up the following words in Websters Dictionary:

All, You, Can, and Eat.

But, I guess words no longer have the same meanings that they once had originally.

Talk about Newspeak as in Orwell's 1984.

Well...Jul 18th, 2008 - 16:04:29

I only have so much patience for these people. He is obviously diseases as anyone is too addiction, and even when I was big, I didn't abuse all you can eat.

It's the old saying 'I'm sad because i eat, and i eat because i'm sad'. People have to stop using food as comfort, because the world is full of crap and if you go to food everytime, well...stats say you are dead by the 50's to 60's at best.

While I don't find overweight people unpleasant, I do find it unpleasant when anyone makes a pig of themselves in public. Titanic plate-loads when the buffet isn't going anywhere tells you a lot about a person, they don't want to get up again. Gorging in front of people is like spitting or making out in public.

You can be big, and carry yourself with deorum and some sense of self respect. Being big is not the big deal, but no need to show every human how fast the food can go down.

It's just like wireless, unlimited is not really unlimited and should not be used, so stores are to blame too. I don't go to all you can eat because it's not worth it, I can't eat that much anymore. The rare times I do, I feel tired and gross afterwards, so I don't see the charm at all.

Food is nowhere near the quality of a middle range 60-80 meal, and is usually just greasy and salty.

I personally don't see what their being or not being fat has to do with anything. If it says all you can eat its all you can eat.

I honestly never understand why people in general are so concerned with what, how or why other people eat. Isn't that their own problem to deal with, or to not deal with if they so please?

It would be equally outrageous if a skinny person was denied more servings, unless the menu or deal stated maximum amount of servings.

Comparing it to say an 'unlimited' wireless service doesn't really work, since you enter into a contract with fineprint, where it states what is considered 'unlimited'. In this case it states all you can eat, not all you can eat except for crab and frog legs.
