An Edinburgh man who admitted having sex with a bicycle in a Scottish hotel has been placed on the sex offenders' register for breach of the peace.

Robert Stewart admitted to the crime Friday in Ayr Sheriff Court and is to be sentenced next month, Britain's Telegraph reported Saturday.

Stewart was discovered last October by two maids who entered to clean his room during a stay at the Aberley House Hostel in Ayr, Scotland.

"The accused was holding the bike and moving his hips back and forth as if to simulate sex," a sheriff's spokesman told the court. The shocked witnesses told the hotel manager who told the police.

Stewart, according to the Telegraph, is not the first person convicted of sex with an inanimate object. In 1993, Kar Watkins, an electrician, was arrested for having sex with pavements in Redditch, England.

Good gracious! One with a bicycle, another with pavement? I've got one word for these guys - 'women.' Putting aside that I can't fathom how it is even possible to have sex with a bicycle, two questions come to mind.
1. Did he practice safe-sex and use a condom?
2. If it's illegal, who passed this as a law? I'm glad it is for the safety of innocent bicycles everywhere, but did somebody actually conclude that a law was needed to prevent bicycle sex and actually present it to parliament to be enacted as a law?
Just curious.

Dont the police have better things to do?

Note to the maids............... when you see this stuff happening.......... dont go any further, leave the room quietly and then giggle hysterically, instead of what you did..... I mean if the guy was relieving himself with the door shut with whatever object took his fancy then its between him and the object unless the object.... objects.
In this case it could have simply put its brakes on but it didnt maybe it consented, either way the love of a man for his bike is personal who are we to say its wrong?

( I wish I had time enough to think about HOW he had sex with the bike but being a woman, Id be more cross he brought the bike indoors! Who ever understands men?)
