Carl's Jr. and Hardee's sue Jack in the Box: 'Cow Anus' Angus joke

The parent corporation of the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's fast food chains have sued rival Jack In The Box Inc. to stop amusing "Jack" TV ads that teey contend suggest Carl's Jr. and Hardee's use cow anus to make their Angus beef hamburgers.
ABC News reports that CKE Restaurants Inc. sued Jack In The Box in U.S. District Court on Friday over an ad in which Jack in the Box executives howl with laughter at the word "Angus" and another where "Jack", the ball headed president of the chain is asked to point to a diagram of a cow and show exactly where the "Angus" meat comes from.
"I'd rather not," Jack deadpans.
CKE claims "the ads create the misleading impression that Jack In The Box's new 100 percent sirloin burgers use a better quality of meat than the Angus beef used by Carl's Jr. and Hardee's."
CKE claims the spots confuse consumers by comparing sirloin, a cut of meat found on all cattle, with "Angus", which they say is a breed of cattle.
Restaurants owned by Burger King Holdings Inc. and McDonald's Corp. also serve the "Angus" beef burgers.
CKE chief executive Andrew F. Puzder said Friday. "They need to stop misleading people about what Angus beef is."
Puzder said to ABC News that their company asked Jack In the Box to pull the ads, but that Jack in the Box refused, referencing a Carl's Jr. TV spot that claimed Carl's Jr. milk shakes were superior to those served by competitors.

I would never eat at Jack in the Box, but there ads are extremely entertaining.
One company wants you to eat from the box and the other from the other side lol
This....is too damn funny. If this goes to court, I hope they televise it so we can watch people snicker every time a lawyer uses the word 'anus'. We can turn it into a drinking game!

I've been a loyal Jack-in-the-Box customer since I can remember, and it's too bad that Carl's Jr. and Hardee's can't take a joke... a funny one at that!
If fast food customers are SO DUMB that they don't know the difference between an Angus and an anus, then maybe they desreve the latter! It's a JOKE... get over it and move on Carl's Jr! There are far more important issues to deal with than breeds of cattle, like serving some food that tastes as good as Jack's does... you really need to work on that! Jack has you beat hands down in my opinion!
(Maybe that's the REAL issue here) ;o
