Prince Charles and Camilla sample country fare
Sep 16, 2005, 14:46 GMT
Britain's Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall tasted traditional country fare at a visit to the Yorkshire market town of Richmond.
The royal couple - who wed earlier this year - sampled local pork slices, followed by tea and scones.
Prince Charles also spoke out about his love for the rural lifestyle, saying modern living is too fast-paced.
He is quoted by Britain's Hello magazine as saying: It is a gentler, calmer approach to life in a world which has become frenetic really. The aim seems to be to go ever faster, but I often wonder how much faster can we all go.
"I always feel now we are going faster and faster and faster than the whole rhythm and patterns of nature. I just think we need to remember we are a part of nature and not apart from it, which I think has been one of the great problems of the 20th century."
