Babylon A.D. is a gritty sci-fi/action film that tried to break new ground in the genre, but felt a little too long and too familiar. Vin Diesel combines aspects of his XXX and Riddick characters for a film that offers lots of action, but features a plot that gets too confusing by the time the credits roll. ... moreBabylon A.D. – DVD Review

Vin Diesel becomes the bionic Telly Savalas in this sci-fi claptrap that references both biblical events as well as the Wizard of Oz. It’s a pretty ordinary apocalyptic sci-fi actioner, but it’s not helped by some wooden (or is that tin?) deliveries by those involved. ... moreThe Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (Two Disc Deluxe Edition) – DVD Review

Brendan Fraser returns to vanquish the mummified, and I use that term loosely, Jet Li in this sequel that seems like it waited too long to get made. If you’re not too picky then you might have a fun ride, but some will think that the film is half baked. The recasting one of the leads doesn’t help matters either. ... moreThe Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor – Blu-ray Review

Jul 31, 2008, 16:11 GMT
I have been watching Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh movies for the past 13 years. I first discovered Hong Kong martial arts cinema by way of Jackie Chan, who was the coolest acrobat I've ever seen. I quickly exhausted all of his films and moved on to Yeoh, who was introduced via Chan's 'Supercop.' She costarred with Jet Li in 'Tai Chi Master.' While it was not the same as Chan's funny martial arts, the wirework was awesome in its own right. ... moreIn photos: 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor American Premiere - Arrivals'

Jul 28, 2004, 14:09 GMT
Dark Horizons reports that Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Tomorrow Never Dies) has picked up a role in Memoirs of a Giesha. Apparantly reported in Oriental Daily, a Hong Kong news paper.

The story is the true tale of Nitta Sayuri and her life as a geisha. It begins in a poor fishing village in 1929 and follows her life.
