Summary
"Troy O'Donovan Garity" (born 7 August, 1973) is an American film actor. He is best known for his role as 'Isaac Rosenberg' in the "Barbershop" films.
Family and personal life
Garity was born in Los Angeles, California to actress Jane Fonda and activist/politician Tom Hayden. He is grandson of Henry Fonda, nephew of Peter Fonda, and cousin of Bridget Fonda. His half-sister is Vanessa Vadim. Garity was given his paternal grandmother's surname, and his given names were in reference to two militant activists. According to his father's autobiography:

In 2006 Garity became engaged to Simone Bent, an African-American actress who has worked with the Rising Sun Theater Company in NYC and made a short film called "Escape from Eden". She also managed the Mercer Bar in NYC. Jane Fonda encouraged the relationship, referring to Simone as her 'future daughter in law' and her 'son's fiancee' before the engagement .
On September 1, 2007, Simone and Troy were married.
Roles
Garity had an uncredited appearance as a young boy in the film "On Golden Pond," starring his mother and grandfather. He played his father in the 2000 film "Steal This Movie" based on the life of Yippie founder Abbie Hoffman. In addition to his breakout role in the "Barbershop" series, his performance as Barry Winchell in the 2003 film "Soldier's Girl" earned Garity a Golden Globe nomination for Actor, Mini-series or a Motion Picture Made for Television. Garity stars as Harvey in the Danny Boyle/Alex Garland film Sunshine.
