Early life

Career

Dorff started acting in the late 1980s, appearing in only minor roles at first. He appeared in shows such as "Diff'rent Strokes", "Roseanne", "Married With Children". He also appeared in the television movies "In Love and War", "I Know My First Name is Steven" and "What a Dummy".

Dorff's first major film role was in "The Gate" (1987), a horror film about a person who, along with a friend, discovers a hole in his back garden that is a gateway to another dimension.
