American film director Sidney Lumet was born June 25th, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Over his long film making career he has directed over fifty films. His most notable include "12 Angry Men" (1957), "Dog Day Afternoon" (1975), "Network" (1976) and "The Verdict" (1982)
