American film actor and director Mel Gibson was born January 3rd, 1956 in Peekskill, New York.
The Hollywood superstar is best known for the roles of William Wallace in "Braveheart" (1994), Martin Riggs in the "Lethal Weapon" franchise, Mad Max in the "Mad Max" movies and Rev. Graham Hess in "Signs" (2002).
Gibson has also had a great deal of success as a director helming such films as "Braveheart" (1994), "The Passion of the Christ" (2004), and "Apocalypto" (2006).
