Mel B: 20th anniversary Spice Girls reunion WILL happen

Former Scary Spice Mel B has confirmed there will be some sort of Spice Girls reunion to mark their 20th anniversary.

Rumours have been rife that the band are planning a tour to mark two decades since they first shot to fame.

Now Mel B has revealed there will definitely be some sort of commemorative celebration, although talks are “ongoing” as the details are ironed out.

She told Entertainment Tonight: “It’s an ongoing thing we keep talking about, and it is our 20th anniversary, so we’re going to do something. We’re just trying to figure that out right now. There will be something happening.”

Mel B also had her own say on Victoria Beckham’s claim that as Posh Spice she had her microphone turned off during the band’s gigs because she wasn’t as good a singer.

And I say oohhhh LALA

Victoria previously said: “‘They used to turn it off and just let the others sing.” But she added: “I got the last laugh – and now my mic is well and truly on, finally.”

However Mel B said that wasn’t true, and Victoria had just “wished” she’d had it turned off. She said: “She wishes it was turned off! We sung live, and we wrote and recorded all our music together live and we performed it live. It wasn’t turned down. Not that I know of. Maybe she secretly asked for that – I don’t know about that.”

The last time the Spice Girls reunited was in December 2012 for the premiere of the show in London’s West End based on their songs: Viva Forever!
