English actor Matt Smith (Matthew Robert Smith) was born October 28th, 1982 in Northampton, England.

The television and stage actor is most well known for playing the title character in BBC's 'Doctor Who' the fifth new series. Matt stars as the eleventh Doctor, following the tenth Doctor played by David Tennant.

He has also starred in other BBC productions including 'Party Animals' and Phillip Pullman's 'The Ruby in the Smoke'.
