Juliette Lewis is a familiar face for those who watched movies and television shows in the 1990s and early 2000s, so viewers will be thrilled to see her once again on tonight’s episode of The Conners.

To set the stage for tonight’s episode, let’s go back to the reboot of Roxanne that aired in the spring. Darlene Conner, played by Sara Gilbert, questioned where her husband was as he left her behind. While he claimed he wanted to go save the world, he later revealed that he had left his wife behind to help his brother Mark.

David, who is played by Johnny Galecki from The Big Bang Theory, will also make a return tonight on The Conners, and this is where Juliette Lewis’ character Blue comes in. The synopsis for tonight’s episode of The Conners reveals that Darlene will be surprised to learn that David is dating a woman named Blue. She learns the news at a parent-teacher conference.

How will Darlene respond to news that David has moved on with another woman?

Juliette Lewis has a lengthy resume in the acting world, dating back to the late 1980s. When she first began, she starred as Kate Farrell in I Married Dora, and a few years later, she played Audrey in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

She also starred on the hit show, The Wonder Years, playing Delores. When she filmed Too Young To Die? in 1990, she met Brad Pitt. She was 16 years old and began a relationship with the then-26-year-old Pitt. They were together for three years and lived together.

While dating Pitt, she played Danielle Bowden in Cape Fear and the role earned her an Oscar-nomination. She later worked with Leonardo DiCaprio for 1993’s What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. The year after that, she was in Natural Born Killers, playing Mallory Knox. Lewis reunited with DiCaprio for The Basketball Diaries two years later and played Kate Fuller in From Dusk Till Dawn.

To date, Juliette Lewis’ resume lists some of the biggest directors in the industry, including Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Lasse Hallström, Oliver Stone and Garry Marshall.

In 2004, she decided to take a break from acting and pursued her passion for music. For six years, she worked on her music, releasing two full-length albums and went on tour with her band, Juliette and the Licks.

During this hiatus, Lewis got divorced from her husband Stephen Berra. The two got married in 1999 but divorced six years later in 2005.

She announced her return to acting after six years, but as of 2018, she has never appeared in a film nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. Other than her The Conners appearance, she will also appear on the show Camping played Jandice. She has two movies in post-production, Ma and Dreamland, while Supreme Ruler is currently in pre-production with a 2019 release.

The Conners airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.
