"Jamelia Niela Davis" (born on January 11, 1981), known simply as "Jamelia", is a Mercury Music Prize nominated English R&B singer-songwriter and occasional rapper who found fame in early 2000 after impressing music executives at Parlophone Records with self-written a cappella songs. She has released three studio albums, each of which has reached the Top 40 in her native UK, which collectively have spawned eight UK top ten singles.
