"Jaden Christopher Syre Smith" (born July 8, 1998) is an American actor and dancer.
Career
Smith made his film debut in the 2006 movie "The Pursuit of Happyness" as Christopher, the son of his father, Will Smith's character, Chris Gardner. At the 79th Academy Awards, Jaden presented the awards for the Best Animated Short and the Best Live Action Short with acting nominee Abigail Breslin. Smith won the award for the Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Jaden can be seen in Alicia Keys' video for the single 'Superwoman', along with his mother.
Smith appeared in the 2008 Keanu Reeves sci-fi movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still", starring as Jacob
In 2008 it was announced that Smith would play the "Karate Kid" in the remake of the 1984 film, his father Will Smith is expected to produce the film. His mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, will also appear in the film.
He along with his sister Willow Smith are youth ambassadors for project Zambia in conjunction with the Hasbro corporation-which helps children orphaned by AIDS in Africa. (... more)

Smith is the son of actor/rapper Will Smith and classical actress/singer Jada Pinkett Smith.
He is the brother of Willow Smith and half-brother of Trey Smith. Jaden, along with his younger sister Willow, are homeschooled.
