Golden Boys is a film that seems like a homage to the Whales of August.  Both films focus on a cast of elder stars, but the earlier picture featured a tighter storyline and better performances.  Golden Boys does have some charm, and a curiosity to see David Carradine in one of his last roles, but it also has an unfocused narrative.   ... more
