Bret McKenzie
New Zealander actor, musician, writer and comedian Bret McKenzie was born June 29th, 1976 in Wellington, New Zealand.
On television Brett is best known for being one half of the comedy duo "Flight of the Conchords" with buddy Jermaine Clement. "Flight of the Conchords" spawned a radio show and two popular HBO television series of the same name.
Bret spawned to recognition as an Elf extra in Peter Jackson's "The Lords of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring". Fans took to this specific extra and gave him the name of Figwit, spawning tribute websites across the net. Director Peter Jackson took notice and gave Bret a speaking role in the final of the 3 "Lord of the Rings" films.
