Summary

"Amanda Righetti" (born April 4, 1983) is an American actress and film producer. She is best known for her roles in "The Mentalist", "Friday the 13th" and "The O.C.".

Early life

She was born in St. George, Utah and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, subsequently moving to Los Angeles to seek further acting opportunities. She married film director Jordan Alan on April 29 2006.

Career

Working as a film producer, Righetti oversaw production on numerous TV commercials and short films. She also has appeared in many commercials like Fruit Gushers, which involved her head morphing into a giant slice of watermelon. After securing a role in the pilot "No Place Like Home", Righetti caught the eye of Fox executives. She played a regular guest character Hailey Nichol in the American teen drama "The O.C." In the season finale of Season 2 of "The O.C.", her ex-boyfriend Jimmy Cooper jokes about life on the "North Shore", the show she formerly starred in after the series was canceled after one season, playing the role of Tessa Lewis.

In late 2005, Righetti starred in Fox's "Reunion" as Jenna Moretti.

Righetti appears on the cover of the November 2005 issue of "FHM" magazine. She was ranked #59 and #84 on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women of 2005 and 2006, respectively.

In 2006, Righetti signed on to star as the main female lead in "Return to House on Haunted Hill" as Ariel Wolfe. The film is the sequel to the successful 1999 horror remake film "House on Haunted Hill." The film was released straight to DVD worldwide on October 2007 and received mixed reviews.

In April 2008, she was cast as the lead female role Whitney in the long awaited reboot of "Friday the 13th". Production ended in June 2008 and the film was released in theaters on Friday, February 13, 2009. The film was a box office success bring in over $90 million worldwide but met with negative reviews. The DVD was released on the June 16, 2009.

Since September 23, 2008, Righetti is a regular on the CBS series "The Mentalist" where she appears as Grace Van Pelt together with Simon Baker as Patrick Jane. The series has launched Righetti back to fame and has become one of the most successful 2008 television débuts.

Righetti recently appeared on the covers of "LAX", "Maxim", and "Vegas" Magazine.
