She reportedly asked her kids :

- ''Hey, you want me to make a positive difference and fight for all our children's future from outside the governor's office?' It was four yeses and one 'Hell, yeah!' And the 'Hell, yeah' sealed it.'

This sounds exactly like a question any normal person would ask, don't it?

Sure it does.

Looks like Sexy Sarah finally managed to learn how to bridge that credibility gap that she kept widening every time she opened her mouth.

Maybe now Palin will have time to preach 'family values' to her own family, instead of to the rest of us. Goodbye 'Hillbilly From Wassila'. You won't be missed!

Not running for a second term is dumb, not completing a big share of the first term is stupid, and explaining it in her hyper gibberish is insane.

..after all, let's look at the president and what he ahs done with his extensive 149 day portfolio of experience:

9.5% unemployment, after he publicly stated his $3.4 trillion stimulus would cap it at 8%.

The Government Motors fools errand, cost Amerca at LEAST $75 BILLION, so far, with absolutely zero to show for it.

Kim, Chavez, Castro, President alphabet soup of Iran all crapping in his face on world TV.

Rising interest rates(people KNOW when your money is being devalued), falling currency values, a bond market voting with it's feet, dried up foreign investment.

No Marcum, the press is finally starting to measure this neophyte with LESS experience than Palin and the measuring stick is going to be brutal.

PALIN: 'I thought about, well, how much fun some governors have as lame ducks,' she said. 'They maybe travel around their state, travel to other states, maybe take their overseas international trade missions. So many politicians do that. And then I thought, that's what wrong . . . . They hit the road, they draw a paycheck, they kind of milk it, and I'm not going to put Alaskans through that.'

-----------

That is a fundamental misunderstanding of the responsibilities of governing. Every president becomes a lame duck in their second term. The same for governors, since many are term-limited. Do they 'milk it,' as Palin put it, or do most continue working hard to the end to finish off their terms with real accomplishments?

Palin need only look back at the GOP's favorite president for an answer. Some of Ronald Reagan's most significant foreign policy accomplishments came in the final two years of his presidency. Most politicians would find offensive her description of how they spend their final year or two in office.

Palin is entitled to resign the office. But in disparaging others to justify her course, she has left herself open to legitimate criticism that she is walking away for the wrong reasons.

'One of the worst things a politician can do is reinforce the rap against her,' Whit Ayres, a Republican pollster, said today in an email message. 'Resigning before her first terms is up gives ammunition to all her critics.'

Palin also cited the toll that life in the spotlight has taken on her and her family, and certainly it has been substantial. She talked about the relentless digging by political opponents and by the news media. She said she and her husband have accrued personal legal bills of half a million dollars from what she called frivolous ethics charges and 'silly accusations.' She said the state has spent millions on these probes.

Virtually all those complaints have been dismissed. She agreed to repay the state about $10,000 for questionable expenses involving trips with her children that were initially paid by the state. She was cleared of violating the law in the firing of Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan, in the 'troopergate' investigation. But a special counsel found last October that she violated a state ethics law.

Palin hopes her resignation will bring all these investigations and questions to an end, and perhaps that will be the case. But is fear of frivolous accusations justification for resigning her office? If she decides to run in 2012, be certain that her rivals will question why she walked away when things got uncomfortable.

(She is a complete phony - a walking photo-op designed to appeal to the idiot-fringe on the right. Shame on McCain for falling for this ploy!)

Clinton left Bush a surplus, and Bush left Obama a starting deficit of 1.3 trillion.

OK 'King of all Liars lets look:

'9.5% unemployment, after he publicly stated his $3.4 trillion stimulus would cap it at 8%.'

Left to us by the worst administration in the last 70 years, got us in two unjust wars, sacrificed 4,000 US soldiers for nothing, created the biggest debt in the history of our country, let the banks do what they wanted without any oversight for 8 years, tried to take away the rights of everyday citizens, stepped all over the constitution and wiretapped US citizens, put all US soldiers in jeopardy by torturing POW's, etc., etc. Pretty hard to screw up things much more than when the Republicant's left.

'The Government Motors fools errand, cost Amerca at LEAST $75 BILLION, so far, with absolutely zero to show for it.'

Stupid, god you are stupid. It failed under the Republicant's, now they have to be saved by someone with a brain. Braid dead Republicant's could not figure out that one plus one is actually two.

'Kim, Chavez, Castro, President alphabet soup of Iran all crapping in his face on world TV.'

What exactly are you trying to say here? Not only can you not spell you can't put together a intelligent statement.

'Rising interest rates(people KNOW when your money is being devalued), falling currency values, a bond market voting with it's feet, dried up foreign investment.'

Foreigh inventment? In what you pinhead. Nothing left to invest in, the Republicant's lost everything when they hocked the country to China and outsourced all the good jobs to India. Friggin idiot!

'No Marcum, the press is finally starting to measure this neophyte with LESS experience than Palin and the measuring stick is going to be brutal.'

Palin was a loser when she was introduced, she is not only still a loser she is a quitter. She does not even have enough brains to know when she is hurting herself. Elected by people she claimed to want to serve then quit after two years---should have loser tattooed on her saggy chest.

SP4, to stupid to know when to STFU.

who claimed Palin would make a better president because she has more executive experience ?Turns out she quits because she can't handle being the governor of ,well....Alaska ?And then the speech she delivered, here is the recipe:take a lot of words, give them to a class of toddlers, have them glue it on a piece of paper in random order, empty your mind (piece of cake for her ),deliver the result to the audience. Now stand in the limelight as the lunatic fringe of the GOP marvels in delight at her so called courage.
Good riddance Palin, you outperformed even Nixon.
