As was written about in the Vanity Fair article, this woman has no competence to be Secretary of dog-poop cleanup. Her election to anything is a road for destruction for the United States.

The fact some some right-wind retards who only see their 'social issues' as being important enough to vote for the leading buffoon on the basis of those like positions are a demonstration of the damage that radical fundamentalists can do to a nation, just as the Taliban in Afghanistan have done to theirs.
Joe the Plumber is now showing his true colors, since he has no platform anymore for a national forum.
John McCain should be considered a disgrace for involving himself with these phonies. A shame; and he's sold out his own valid earlier principles by using these pawns for right-wing votes, and the GOP itself is shrinking as a result.

'Joe also told the WND reporter that God has determined that Joe the Plumber's destiny lies outside of public office. Asked if he would considering running for political office, he said, 'I hope not. You know, I talked to God about that and he was like, 'No.'' 'I just know whenever I fall off his path, things get really hard,' he said. 'So I just stick with what God tells me to do.''
(Another deluded egomaniac heard from - a rabble-rousing ignoramus enjoying his moment; just like Palin.)
Wurzelbacher has a reputation for being a blunt, politically incorrect speaker. Referring to Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., more than once, Wurzelbacher asked, 'Why hasn't he been strung up?'

And he glosses over facts. Referring to the Constitution as 'almost like the Bible,' Wurzelbacher said of the Founding Fathers: 'They knew socialism doesn't work. They knew communism doesn't work.' The Constitution predates the origins of socialism by nearly 100 years.
(We once had a 'know-nothing' party, so Joe is redundant)
>hat a great pair that would make Palin-The plumber ,GOP 's dream team for 2012.

'However, leaving office in the middle of a term is highly unusual. Ms. Palin’s decision set off a round of speculation among her critics and bloggers that another embarrassing scandal may be about to unfold. It also empowered critics in both parties who said that this episode would only serve to reinforce doubts among many Americans about her stability, political competence and fortitude.
“Good point guards don’t quit and walk off the floor if the going gets tough,” said John Weaver, a former senior strategist for Mr. McCain. “Today’s move falls further into the weirdness category; people don’t like a quitter.”
'And Ms. Palin had also taken on another responsibility, having recently signed a lucrative contract to write a book.'
-----------
This sounds to me like she does not want any more mass-media coverage, and is to looking to raise funds amongst those deluded enough to pay money for a freak show. Neiman-Marcus has likely already offered her a credit card.
After the first round of interviews with Couric et al, her handlers realized that she could not be trusted to speak intelligently. In the circus of public appearances, no one really cares about things like 'relevance' or 'intelligence'.
The 'Sarah Palin Flying Circus' may hit YOUR home town at some point; hopefully bringing along its own dunk tank.
Makes you wonder if SP4 is planning a comedy tour.

PALIN: 'I thought about, well, how much fun some governors have as lame ducks,' she said. 'They maybe travel around their state, travel to other states, maybe take their overseas international trade missions. So many politicians do that. And then I thought, that's what wrong . . . . They hit the road, they draw a paycheck, they kind of milk it, and I'm not going to put Alaskans through that.'
-----------
That is a fundamental misunderstanding of the responsibilities of governing. Every president becomes a lame duck in their second term. The same for governors, since many are term-limited. Do they 'milk it,' as Palin put it, or do most continue working hard to the end to finish off their terms with real accomplishments?
Palin need only look back at the GOP's favorite president for an answer. Some of Ronald Reagan's most significant foreign policy accomplishments came in the final two years of his presidency. Most politicians would find offensive her description of how they spend their final year or two in office.
Palin is entitled to resign the office. But in disparaging others to justify her course, she has left herself open to legitimate criticism that she is walking away for the wrong reasons.
'One of the worst things a politician can do is reinforce the rap against her,' Whit Ayres, a Republican pollster, said today in an email message. 'Resigning before her first terms is up gives ammunition to all her critics.'
Palin also cited the toll that life in the spotlight has taken on her and her family, and certainly it has been substantial. She talked about the relentless digging by political opponents and by the news media. She said she and her husband have accrued personal legal bills of half a million dollars from what she called frivolous ethics charges and 'silly accusations.' She said the state has spent millions on these probes.
Virtually all those complaints have been dismissed. She agreed to repay the state about $10,000 for questionable expenses involving trips with her children that were initially paid by the state. She was cleared of violating the law in the firing of Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan, in the 'troopergate' investigation. But a special counsel found last October that she violated a state ethics law.
Palin hopes her resignation will bring all these investigations and questions to an end, and perhaps that will be the case. But is fear of frivolous accusations justification for resigning her office? If she decides to run in 2012, be certain that her rivals will question why she walked away when things got uncomfortable.
(She is a complete phony - a walking photo-op designed to appeal to the idiot-fringe on the right. Shame on McCain for falling for this ploy!)
This article and comments state all that I agree with.
once said: 'whatever one ends up doing is was what they intended to do in the beginning'. Sarah Palin was and is an uneducated loser who took advantage of the gullibility of the redneck NASCA, tabacco chewing, beer drinking idiots that thought George Bush was actually a Born again Christian when in fact he was one of the biggest frauds to come along in a long time. Ms. Palin is the replacement fraud. Its all money idiots, she is going to do something to make more money.
Nothing wrong with that unless you pretend to be doing something besides that. Typical of the right wing of this country, preach one thing then act another way. Typical. Sarah is the biggest fraud to come along in a long time, only losers quit.
