That was the Bush admin way of dealing with this. Bush let go hundreds of what they called the 'worst of the worst' from gitmo. But, he is gone now, with no accountability for what he did.
...but Bush had the good sense to establish gitmo, and those released went in accordance with US law. We call that clarity.
Obama, and his irresponsible promises, now has him in a real sticky wicket, either having to pardon those who will be sentenced to death, or he will have to allow the sentence to be carried out, either way making him a total sham.

Prof, please reflect upon 'those released went in accordance to US law' Your words of wisdom are of course very astute, but please clarify. I thought that the whole intent was to deny these guys any legal rights, especially any rights under US law. I suppose that now that you have drank the 'koolaid' and seen the 'light', you have no problem with moving terrorists onto US soil, 'in accordance with the law'.
...then why would I have to clarify?
