congratulations to judge and jury.now lets hurry up and execute
...the best part is the appellate process, because once done, any anomalies in the trial are removed from the debate on whether his trial was fair. The appeal is automatic, so he's guaranteed a hearing. Just another fine feature of Capital Punishment, the only punishment guaranteed to work!
you do not agree with the 'due process'. Do you think our system is flawed. Would you have people just put to death? Lets hear from SP4 the legal expert---oops that would be the constitutional expert.
Sp can provide the number of people who went through the system, had a fair trial, lost all appeals, denied clemency and were killed, only to find, years later, that they were innocent.
Of course SP will deny that this ever happened.
SP4, another useless Service Pack from Macrosnot.
From the stupid comments on here it is easy to see why this country is being overrun by criminals. Although I do not want to see capital punishment meted out carelessly I do think there are certain crimes that can only find justice in the death penalty. Violent criminals know they really don't have much to fear from our legal (notice I didn't say 'justice' system); just ask O.J.
I feel certain the ruling will be overturned, especially if it goes to the 9th Court; they are another reason criminals have no fear in Kommiefornia. But then those making those stupid comments already know that because they operate on the same 'intelligence' level.
i think the death penalty should be banned because it tarnishes america's reputation. but by the way things are going it will be a long time before america sets the right example. maybe getting worse. i also think that this comment section should make you have to register b/c it would keep alot of the hateful retards from posting.
...people who constantly need the approval of others to live their lives and operate their democracies probably need to self-reflect on their own shortcomings, rather than seek to adjust their nations own, correct self determination to match their own insecure views. The state of Califronia passed capital punishment, it was upheld by the highest court in the land and now Johnny Flameout is going to get a dose of justice at the end of a hypodermic needle and I could care less. If some foreigner has a problem with that they should contact their local chapter of B-L-O-W M-E, or as others call it, the ACLU.
Death penalty is just. You take a life you forfeit yours. Life sentences for murderers is wrong and means justice is denied. Would you want to serve or have your son or daughter serve as a prison guard in a prison that houses murderers under life sentence? They are free to kill other inmates or guards knowing they will only continue serving life sentences.
I am so sick and tired of people in this great country of ours complaining but never understanding the justice that this nation was built upon. Compassion is a wonderful thing to have and that is why you hate seeing this man get the death penalty. What is a shame, is that you don't take your compassion for a killer and direct it toward those who were the true victims. Yes, let's all cry and be upset over a phsyco that killed your son or brother. I am sure that if you had children and they were killed by this man, you'd be going to this man's home to thank him for setting these fires? Highly unlikely.
