What a sick sick sick society. Gunfire killing two in a store, a worker trampled to death at a Wal-Mart, fights breaking out in lines. All for what? Cheap Chinese junk. Boy that really matters doesn't it. Never mind who you kill, mame, injure or ruin their lives just as long as I get that bargain I came for. I say the end is near. For in the last days people will be lovers of themselves and not God and the love of many shall wax cold.

It's absolutely nuts the way people react to sales, and the killings are a tragedy. No one other than law enforcement and military should be allowed hand guns, and maybe everyone is going to have to pass through a detector before entering a place of business or entertainment one of these days. When anyone has an argument, they all pull out guns instead of fists - nothing but stupid cowards. They'll either end up dead or in prison, so what's smart about that.

..where perspective gets lost. Two people(unconfirmed) dead. Now...look at the rest of the world, and compare:

120(?) dead in Indian terror attacks

45000 per month dying in the Congo

No, as bad as this is, none of it compares to the rest of the world.

Those are instances of terrorism and wars not standing in line shopping for christmas gifts for crying out loud. And no I do not advocate taking away the people's right to bear arms. If they shooot and kill people we as a society need to take their life from them so they will never do it again. If only military and police have guns you are great great danger of government completely taking over your life. If you don't think it could happen in America you have a very very arrogant attitude.

Thse two are American dead, EssPee. No one else matters. They ain't Americans, so they don't count for squat.

I still don't advocate the public carrying concealed handguns. If someone has one in their home, that's a different matter, but no one needs to be carrying one in public. And I also agree that the shooting in the toy store was a terrible situation and doesn't compare with acts of war around the world. People would sing a different tune if they or loved ones were in a place where a shooting occured.

Interesting that in states that do allowed concealed weapons have less crime than those without.

Only in the United States. In countries with gun control, the crime rate is much lower, as is to be expected.

Not all Americans are gun carrying crazies, but you do have your share. The rest of you are just crazy. By the way, I'm not a Canadian.

I have no intention whatsoever of ever going to your little cesspool. That does not make me crazy, indeed it demonstrates the opposite. No sane person would give the idea of going there any thought whatsoever.

Sure funny how so many people fight tooth and nail to get into the U.S., and the people here are all descendants of people from every other country in the world anyway!
