i almost cried today when i herd that kieth oberman was fired. this is a travesty because kieth speaks the truth. on fox news, they only say what bush tells them. bush is responsible for 9/11 because he wants to control the news. everybody knows this who is halfway intelegent, everything that is on fox is propeganda and bush is a liar. only kieth oberman tells the truth to the american people. the republicans are not intelegent and are racist because they dont like obama and only listen to bush who is a liar. if msnbc doesnt bring kieth back then i will boycot msnbc and i mean it i am not joking. only kieth olberman tells the truth the way the american people and doesnt lie like bush and the people who secretly did 9/11 and also gave aids to people. intelegent people know the difference between propeganda and lies of the republicans and fox news. go oblerman Obama 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great idea: first fire independent spirited newscasters so thenews can then be fixed, er, I mean FOXed. Then we can proceed to have librarians fired who stack the shelves of our local libraries with books we don't t like (just like Plain attempted to do while Mayor of Wasilla).

...ya think?

The only thing missing from these two lwmons was the Obama button on their lapels.

Mathews used to be a staff wag for Tip O'Neill, the libnazi congressmand and speaker of the house Reagan put in his grave. Oberman is a talentless, angry libnazi drive-by stalwart in the vein of Dan Rather, so biased the Bernie Goldberg wrote a whole book on chuckleheads like these.

These libnazi drive-by vampires are losing so much money for these bonehead corporations it is just bewildering how they manage to hang onto their jobs, year after year.

Curiously, FOX manages, quite successfully, to identify news from opinion, quite well, stating clearly which is which and telling folks when guys like Hannity are plainly committed conservatives or liberals like Alan Colmes. Not watching TV news anymore, it just liberates one to turn these talking heads off, and not be concerned with whatever travesty is committed.

News folk, and this something I truely KNOW what I'm talking about, are EXACTLY what you think they are: smug, provincial, snobbish, smart-assed, insulting, and biased. Theyare raised like this at libnazi Univeristy (pick one) and they just get worse. They think we are the ignorant masses and we NEED their insight to survive.

Perhaps Oberman can do game shows....

Now let the networks keep going in culling out the crap - get rid of O'Rielly. If you didn't have high blood pressure, his show would bring it on. I don't know why he even has guests since he doesn't let them finish a sentence before he talks over them. I watched or let's say I've tried to watch a show when I was interested in a guest he had on, but after a couple of minutes of not being able to hear anything but O'Rielly's loud spewing and interruptions, all of a sudden the Food Network was a sound improvement.

...outside of agreeing with a lot of what he has said, he's every bit as obnoxious as anyone on the tube. He had Obama on and was arguing with him. What the f--k is the point of having him on?I cannot tell you how liberating it is to just shut these talking heads off. The day they fired Rather was the largest piece of progress in CBS's history.

'Lies about Palin

..we're counting on them!'

FactCheck.org looks into some of the numerous smears being circulated about Sarah Palin: FactCheck.org: Sliming Palin.

We’ve been flooded for the past few days with queries about dubious Internet postings and mass e-mail messages making claims about McCain’s running mate, Gov. Palin. We find that many are completely false, or misleading.

* Palin did not cut funding for special needs education in Alaska by 62 percent. She didn’t cut it at all. In fact, she tripled per-pupil funding over just three years.

* She did not demand that books be banned from the Wasilla library. Some of the books on a widely circulated list were not even in print at the time. The librarian has said Palin asked a “What if?” question, but the librarian continued in her job.

* She was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, a group that wants Alaskans to vote on whether they wish to secede from the United States. She’s been registered as a Republican since May 1982.

* Palin never endorsed or supported Pat Buchanan for president. She once wore a Buchanan button as a “courtesy” when he visited Wasilla, but shortly afterward she was appointed to co-chair of the campaign of Steve Forbes in the state.

* Palin has not pushed for teaching creationism in Alaska’s schools. She has said that students should be allowed to “debate both sides” of the evolution question, but she also said creationism “doesn’t have to be part of the curriculum.”

..the benefit of these lies is that, in the world we now live in, they can be refuted almost instantly. Each one punishes the dems worse, making their army less believable. Each time, Obama, who already looks insecure, has to apologize.

Heck, keep them up. Right now, the dems have their machine combing Alaska to see what they can use on her.

Front-runner unplugged
Media Infatuation with him backfires
Michael Graham(abridged)

I have one piece of advice for the struggling Obama campaign:

Fire MSNBC. They’re killing your campaign.

By all accounts the Democrats had a successful national convention in Denver. Their nominee’s speech at the ObamaDome was well received. At one point last week, Sen. Barack Obama had an 8-point lead in the polls.

Today, he’s losing by 4. If you only count likely voters, Obama is down by 10. And he has his fawning friends in the media to thank for it.

The media, of course, doesn’t get it. According to their narrative, Obama was swamped by Hurricane Sarah. Gov. Palin is a political typhoon destroying all in her wake, and mere media mortals can only tremble in awe before her mighty wrath!

Please. Palin may be able to take down a rabid moose at 100 yards with a hockey puck, but she isn’t killing the Obama campaign.

To paraphrase James Carville, “It’s the media, stupid.”

The national media are dominated by enthusiastic Obama supporters desperate to see Obama the Enlightened win the White House, heal our souls, reset our thermostats and shut down the Fox News Channel.

And that’s precisely how their coverage of Palin comes across: desperate.

The media has thrown every imaginable charge at Palin, from banning books to cheating her way to the much-coveted title of Miss Wasilla. Along the way, media outlets like The New York Times [NYT], MSNBC and The Boston Globe-Democrat have gotten story after story just plain wrong.

Palin does not support teaching creationism in science class.

She didn’t fire the Wasilla librarian for not banning books that Palin didn’t like.

As governor she signed budget increases - not cuts - for programs targeting teen pregnancy and special-needs children.

And on and on - so many false and silly stories that entire Web sites have been established just to correct them.

And yet the misreporting continues.

Seriously, Palin hurt Obama so bad, he has yet to recover. She did it in a dastardly way: she just told the truth.

and the dems are sh-tting themselves. Have you ever seen such pussies? Did you see Obama on O'Reilly? He just caved! He looked worse than GW....dancing around with that forced laugh....trying to articulate his tax position....he just looked terrible...

No wonder they need Obermann...O'Reilly slaughtered him! Where did this myth of the smooth young lion come from? Who was the schmuck that started that?

I'm just amazed no one has walked up to these media wags and said 'hey, maybe we could get back into reporting the news and give up our current job of trying to get a totally unqualified person, chosen because he was black, elected to the highst office in the land?'

Honestly, I hear folks every day prattle on about the GOP's cozy relationship to big business. Has anyone bothered to look into who owns these media outlets?

...get it?

When the only place to get real news is from a comedy channel, you know your countries media is in bad shape. John and Steven are only funny because what they say and point out is so sadly true.
