Another vain attempt from the republican internet task force to rewrite history .In short :before Katryna struck,FEMA was duely warned but failed to take any action ,Bush was warned too but did nothing ,didn't even care about the thing.After Katryna struck,the whole federal burocracy showed itself to be completely lame .Te very same administration that claimed to be able to intervene in any part of the world in less than 48 hours proved itself to be completely unable to deal with a domestic tragedy .It took 5 days before first feeble attempts were made,after the angry outcry for help from Ray Nagin in the media .Homeland Security and FEMA were supposed to deal with this situation.They both claimed that there wasz not enough information reaching them ,causing the CNN reporter to wonder why she ,relying on only her 24 year old assistant, was able to get information,wjile the authorities failed to do so .
To summarize;for the republicans the victims simply held no value at all,the population doesn't count unless it is voting time .
Similar attitude is shown too during the invasion of Iraq,only the ministry of oil was secured and protected,the rest was left to the looters. It is consistent with the republican demagogy which claims to care for the small people but once in charge reduces the taxes for the wealthiest 2 percent of the population and leave the rest to pay for the national debt.

its good this time that La has a competent Governor in Bobby Jindal, and would fire that idiot Mayor Ray Nagin if he again showed his stupidy and finger pointing tatics...besides im sure Mayor Ray Nagin used some of that Federal Money to brick up his crack houses and trained his drug dealers how to drive a Bus.

Now, this is good. A hurricane may wipe out New Orleans again. At a future date some hurricane will wipe out New Orleans again. People will die. And all other people can think of is:

(a) Is it the democrat's or republican's fault?

(b) Will the government spare the mentally ill and homeless?

It is time you grow up and realize the reality of the situation:

People that live under sea level need to take personal responsibility and need to stop taking money from people that live above sea level.

If they want to live in a fungus infested swap then that is their choice, but do not pull the entire country into their nightmare.

On the other hand, it provides for ample democratic v.s. republican fodder and of course the jesus heads will be blaming the HIV crack addict voodoo heads for the hurricane. More blame game, and no responsibility - that is what the United States has become.

A couple of other republicans and I dropped what we were doing and flew people out of the area and supplies in. 40 hours straight. Many Americans regardless of party affiliation rolled up our sleeves and did whatever we could to help the situation.
