This was one of the most inspiring, substantive speeches I've heard in my life. Barack Obama said the Republicans need to own their failures of the last eight years. He is correct. We need to look to the future with a leader that understands the world as it exists today. Barack Obama has a plan and the leadership to inspire Americans to follow it. All John McCain has is four more years of George Bush's failed policies. Looking at the crowd tonight I saw America, white, black, brown, male, female, gay, and straight. It is the wonderful, powerful patchwork quilt that makes us who we are. The Democratic Party is the party of the people. The Republican Party is the party of the wealthy and powerful. As you watch the Republican convention next week in St. Paul, look out across the audience and compare it to what you saw tonight.

Viking Warrior has obviously been brainwashed into his understanding of the 'Left'. If he thinks that american Democrats are 'far left' he has obviously led a very sheltered life from the rest of the World and has no concept of how middle ground they occupy compared to what could be. If he wants anything 'far' he should look at the Republicans - about as far to the right as you can get without being neo-nazi or neo-fascist

So, Obama thinks half the United States are jack ass muslim killers, and half of the United States are saviors of planet Earth.

Hyperbole, plain and simple.

I would settle for an accountant that can balance a check book.

If he does get elected the numbers will tell if he is also a jackass. The second number I would want to know (the first being the budget balance sheet total) is:

How many more times fuel does he use than the average U.S. citizen?

Here's why I have to vote for McCain:

There are no changes that I can believe in, period.
The status quo is a beautiful thing not to be tampered with.

Ideas of evolution are just communist subversive propaganda that have no credibility, no facts to prove it, and no place in the modern world.

Everything changed for the worse in this country since 1865. States rights should not have been changed, and that's why I still fly the confederate flag out of due respect for what this country should have been if the MSM and libfemnazis had not interfered with the natural order.

The civil rights movement and all other momements trying to change anything are either the works of Satin himself, or communist crazies.

Fortunately, 9/11 didn't change anything. I still believe that guns and bombs are the best way to resolve differences, and may the fastest and biggest gun win.

We don't need no stinking UN, or NATO, or New World Order according to Garp, or George Herbert Walker Bush; or national health care plan, or national energy plan, or national transportation grid, or communistic unions of any kind, including police, firemen, teachers, or municipal employees.

We don't need to change direction of our foreign policies, all we got to do is simply kill more arabs and we will win even if it takes 100 years.

We don't need to find osama bin laden, we need to keep protecting him from any harm. If he remains alive he serves as a shining example of how American justice can work best at trying to find the bad guys, and is a great morale booster to keep up the good fight.

It's not that I am afraid of change, but I fear any chage in the status quo will hurt my investment portfolio.

Barack Obama as next President of The United States of America

The die is cast and for reasons that only a privileged few know, you Sir, will be the next President of the United States of America. Your next 4 years will be a turning point in US history and planet earth. CHANGE, your advisors and high stake investors offer the nation will undoubtedly be the same rhetoric and empty promises that make up a political campaign, that campaigns for appointment for any public office in America.

The White House will be the Black House to some, the Aryan Brothers of America will not be so happy, but yet will blame you and your staff if you fail, which will reinforce their belief that the Aryan Nation is the true leader for America. The religious zealots will be busy bees making nests to survive the onslaught of lies, corruption and deceit. Business enterprises and other competing nations will capitalize off of your inexperience in the art of corruption and murder. The organized crime organizations from different nations including our own will benefit from the lack of control over national crime.

Military governments including our own will test your tolerance to pain and deception and trick you into needless and profitable domestic and international conflict. You will no doubt attempt to colorize your staff to soften the race conflict once in office.

As President you will be President. Nations will respect you only for your title of office. Americans will soon see after your appointment as President that your intentions were manipulated by those that make the rules. You will fill the spot in history as planned, and nothing more.

You will never while in office be able to pull the troops from conflict in any land we are engaged in. As a matter of fact we as a nation will be engaged in a new conflict of war, which will galvanize Americans to seek a different form of government and a different and honest Congress.

You will attempt to shore up Americas problems with false promise and lies, because you cannot directly affect the CHANGE you promised.

Your frustration will be your downfall while in office, and your co-dependence on those that you trust will also add to your demise.

Our Armed Forces in rank will respect you as good soldiers they are, but those under them will not, and for good reasons, that only a good soldier knows.

America will not be America until its government respects the People, and tells the truth. America is a Republic, not a Democracy or Fascist Government or is it?

Until you can walk thru the streets and neighborhoods of America unaided by Secret Service or any other law enforcement agency you will not be respected by the many, only by the fearful and selfish few. Americans can protect their leaders if they are honest and respectful of the people they were elected to serve. Our Government has forsaken us for many hundreds of years, and now we will wait until your 4 years are finished for us to come to fruition.

CHANGE FOR AMERICA FOR AMERICANS!
The American Republic
A Sovereign Republic

Hopeful but WorriedAug 29th, 2008 - 16:41:01

Hello Mr. Obama,

You made a great speech, and I think you have a wonderful vision for this country.

I believe your vision far outstrips that of the vast majority of those in Congress, especially the current leadership of both political parties. Please don’t let your vision be thwarted by the destructive petty partisanship practiced on both sides of the isle for the last eight years.

Many people I know view the Democratic party as being nothing more than obstructionists who’s main concern is to prevent anything positive from happening while Bush is in office for fear that he might get some credit. I must admit that even I feel sometimes that Pelosi and Reid are more focused on making sure Bush looks bad than moving our country forward. I mean, I have to wonder why the Democrats have not been implementing some of your wonderful ideas already, since they took control of the legislative branch of our government a couple years ago. Instead it has been one inquisition after another in a useless attempt to get Bush, Cheney, and Rove! Lets not forget that much of the economic deterioration in this country that you speak of has actually developed on Reid and Pelosi's watch!

Anyway, I do believe you will win in November and I hope you can actually eliminate some of the crippling partisanship and bring about the kind of spirit of cooperation that you speak of.
