Indeed. When it comes to politicians, governments, businesses and churches, nothing can be taken at face value. It is not that I have become cynical over the years, it is all the lies that have jaded me. Their lies may work for the short term, but the truth always comes out. Eventually.
It is wise for a person to be suspicious and cautious.
