I told you so. I posted on this forum some time ago that after all the throat cutting and back stabbing they will all be singing kumbaya like nothing happened. Wouldn't you love to hear their thoughts. If you want a bunch of phonies runnig the white house in November then go for it people. But I for one don't want those hypocrits running this country and the chagentheir touting I guaranty is not the change you are going to like. Hold on to your wallets and your jobs. When they start raising corporate taxes hiring will hault and when they start assessing windfall profits taxes on the oil companies watch gas go even higher, but they are for the little guy-not! If they claim to be for the little guy why are so many billionairs and corporate giants giving to their campaigns? BO is just another slick politician. It will be great to come back at a later time if he gets elected and post another I TOLD YOU SO! Then I'll tell you to quit your whining.

Remarks by John McCain on his Comprehensive Plan for Energy Security

June 25, 2008
ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain will deliver the following remarks as prepared for delivery in Las Vegas, NV, today at 10:30 a.m. PDT (1:30 p.m. EDT):

Opponents of domestic production cling to their position even as the price of foreign oil has doubled and doubled again. They were against it when a gallon of gas cost two dollars. They are still against it when a gallon of gas cost well above four dollars. And we're left to wonder what it will take to shake their faith in this dogma of dependence on foreign oil.

[Wait a minute! Let's be fair here, Senator. Many rank and file Democrats support their leadership on this issue because they really do want to wean this country off of petroleum altogether. It is too much too fast, but there you have it and failing to address these people is a miserable failure on your part. It makes you look like a 'typical Republican' when you are anything but.]

As for me, my convictions place a priority on the well-being of people who cannot afford these ever-rising prices.

[Again, Senator, you had better be worrying about the likes of Rohm and Haas. Without companies like them, us poor folks won't have a job to drive to. A good many white collar middle class weanies won't have a job to drive to either. You had better get you head out of your ass and catch a gear.]

Every year, we are sending hundreds of billions of dollars out of the country for oil imports, much of it from OPEC, while trillions of dollars' worth of oil reserves in America go unused. As a matter of fairness, we must deal with the here and now, and assure affordable fuel for America by producing more of it ourselves.

[Fairness? I ask again, FAIRNESS? Who wrote this speech? What has fairness got to do with any of this? It is about the survival of the United States of American you frakkin' moosetwit!]

Fairness also requires that we reform the oil futures market. We must purge the market of the reckless speculation, unrelated to any kind of productive commerce, that has inflated the price of gasoline -- at the expense of working men and women across our country. With new regulations, I intend to assure integrity in oil-futures trading, and to protect the public interest.

[Here we go again! It is all the fault of those EVIL SPECULATORS! The very same EVIL SPECULATORS you and Senator Obama are relying upon to make your demonic cap and trade system work. You clearly do not have a clue about markets, capitalism or anything else of real importance. You are a DEMOCRAT, Senator McCain.]

Don't worry, no one with an ounce of sense would think that was your post.
I think it's for the better of the Democratic Party if these two show a united front - how stupid if they didn't!

REQUIEM FOR A HAS-BEENJun 28th, 2008 - 18:03:44

LARGE BUCKET AND BOX OF TISSUES BEFORE YOU START
------------------------------------------------
And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which I'm certain.

Ive lived a life that's full.
Ive traveled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what am I, what have I got?
If not myself, then I have naught.
To say the things I truly feel;
And not the words of those who kneel.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

HILLARY CLINTON

Never mind the typical character assassination against the democrats .As usual these are based on a lack of political intelligence .Nothing relates to the programs at all,except for the higher taxes that would be imposed on the oil tycoons .Hurray for that .All those multiples of billions of dollars should go back to the people .The oil companies have done nothing to merit these windfall profit .But notice how the republicans choose the side of these thieves by claiming that taxing them is simply impossible as then these companies would simply raise their prices even higher .In other words the republicans mean that the american people are less powerful than a few companies.Well until now that might be true.Perhaps time to repossess your own natural resources and spend the profit for your own needs like education and health care .Imagine what can be done with these hundreds of mbillions of dollars if these would fill the coffers of your own government.
