This happened, or started rather, back in 1993. The Bush Bunch has done nothing about it and now the Clinton Clan is doing their best to get back into the Whitehouse.

After the little Loral thing, there was Most Favored Nation trading status, GATT, WTO and the mysterious missing data from Lawrence Livermore Labs during a fire there, relating to missile launched nuclear weapons design.
This is the whole point: The Clintons are FOR SALE! The sold out to he Chinese, the N. Koreans, the Russians...Marc Rich, Tyson Foods, and who-knows-who-else?
And so why hasn't President Bush put a stop to the ongoing crap, and why did he not allow the covers to be jerked off this crap? Had he done so, the Clinton Clan would pretty much be out of business, wouldn't it? So what is the Clinton Clan holding over his head?
See what I mean? This one cuts across party lines.
Why shoulld he? Fred Thompson tried to investigate it in the 90's but couldn't get witnesses. The repubs, and most dems, like free trade so they don't care.
Bush is an unabashed free trader, so all of this works for him. He gets all of it greenlighted before he gets there and all he has to do is do a couple of south american free trade deals. Hillary gets to vote AGAINST them to secure the left wing and union base.
The Clintons got Janet 'Buck' Reno to firewall any investigations, because she KNEW where they would go.
Free trader? Being a free trader does NOT mean that you give license to peddle military secrets away. I wonder what goes through the minds of some of these corporate managers as well. The Chinese have no respect whatsoever for intellectual property rights. You shutdown your own factories and labs and do what? Hand off all those years of research and development to the Chinese?
This so sick it is hard to believe. I don't think that a science fiction author would try to put this madness into a novel. How would he explain the motivations of the characters involved? Simple greed? I know that it IS simple greed, but I still shake my head in disbelief at seeing it happen. Instead of 'peace in our time' we must have 'huge profits in my time.' How frackin' insane is that? It's perfectly insane. Some of these guys need to be tied to a telephone pole and shot repeatedly with a BB gun until graveyard dead. I am not real keen on the idea of being obliged to speak Spanish to buy groceries while becoming part of the Chinese Empire, but that is EXACTLY what is happening right NOW.
Another four to eight years of the Clinton Clan will kill us, especially if that is followed by another member of the too numerous Bush Bunch. We'd be stupid to lose AGAIN with the same old faces, but it looks as though that is what we are going to do.
