Both consenting participants who have unprotected sex of any kind should bear the responsibility equally - otherwise it is insanely stupid. What this so-called 'fake' priest did was unforgiveable in forcing himself on others!!

I sure hope the guys he raped didn't get his disease. That's murder in my eyes.

This is a witch hunt on a guy who disgraced the Marine Corps name by being a homosexual. He is by no stretch a saint. However, he didn't rape anyone. The failure to disclose his status is a crime, but he never forced himself on anyone. The charges are what they are because of his rank and status. A junior enlisted man wouldn't be facing the same set of charges. I know Lee - he rolled over because he couldn't bear to have his entire private life bared to the world. He knows that he made some poor choices. He's paying for it. Assault based on a failure to disclose - yes. Rape - not a chance in hell.

If the above post is true, then I think this whole thing is atrocious, and I feel for the guy!

Doesn't matter if it was consensual or not at the time;

Would they have consented if they knew it was going to kill them?

I guess this makes him one of the most selfish, uncaring people alive. How could anyone's desire possibly justify giving others a fatal disease?
In terms of his actions, he's basically a caring serial killer. This is yet another blow to the reputation of the Catholic clergy.
