We ARE talking about the His Majesty Albert Gore, the KING of GREEN!
I just lost all respect for Cameron Diaz. Al Gore is a moron. I'd like to put my carbon footprint right up his a$$.
Typical neo-con nonsense. People came together, shared information and ideas, enjoyed some music, and took responsibility for being citizens of this earth. It's hysterical how defensive you oil rig driving Bushies get when you're presented with rational thought. This is not a partisan issue. Even neo-cons breathe air and drink water.
Sony:Pssssssssssst! Het Pop, wanna drag on th fatty??
AL; Oh, God son, put it out!
Sony: Dad...chill babe! I got it unna control Broham. Bring the blond wich ya an we cin party!
Al: Son, fat, high and stupid is no way to go through life.
Sony: Dad, all yer missin is th high...c'mon, you'll win th trifecta babe. Bring miss hot pants wich ya too!
Its great to see so many people come together and join this new religion!

And what was used in the trucks that brought all the equipment to the stadiums? What was used in the tour buses? What was used to power the stage lights and amplifiers? And what the hell do you suppose was used in Al Gore's private jet? Recycled butt wipe?
*YAWN* Modonna is still alive?
How much energy does it take to transport everyone and everything to these events?
In fact, one of the libnazi publications was raking NASCAR fans over the coals for just such a thing, either Mother Earth News, or one of the science magizines.
This is classic Libnazi: OK for them, but YOU are the ones who are supposed to do the conservation.
Do the wildfires in California, the inundations in Texas and Oklahoma, the heatwave in Nevada and other parts of the country mean nothing to the neocons .Of course not .Looking at their reaction after Katrina destroyed New Orleans people should be enlightened .Six months after Katrina bodies were still being recovered from houses .Fema on itself was a disater .THe only reason why Bush apointed Browne as administrative head of FEMA was his ability to secure cabins for conferences of the oil lobby .Jobs were handsed out to nitwits as Rove,Rumsfeld,Wolfowitz and others without much of expectations .Katrina is a fine example of this .
So my guess is that if it takes eneregy to create awareness about global warming look at it as an investemtn.I remember SO4 ranting that there was no such thing as global warming only one month ago .JUst because Al gore was associated with the fight against it .
While the Bush apointed administrative apointed head of NASA claimed fighting global warming was no urgency the scientific staff of NASA released an extensive document stating that there are ten years left to curb global warming .After that one can forget about it .Who should I believe?A Bush aponted croney or the scientific staff of NASA .Well I guess neocons believe Bush .Let me perhaps point out to them that their fine president just cut the budget NASA is to spend on weather investigating sattelites .That was Bush response to the menace of global warming .An apropriate measure from a neocon president who does not give anything for the wellbeing of his own population.Katrina should have demonstrated that well enough .
SP4,Noharness seem to suffer from wath sociologists label social anticipation .It is a type of human behaviour that is responsible for people behaving according to the interests of the class of people they want to belong to,not the class of people they realy belong to .It is an understanable reaction to poverty .After all we al prefer to watch stories about rich people ,rather than haing the same stories set out in poor surroundings .The way television portrays average families does not fir reality at all.But it is so much nicer to dream away, associate yourself with the mighty and rich.Hence the success of Paris Hilton,Brittney Spears,Pamela Anderson ,etc, etc.People like to believe in fairy tales .It is called the american dream .Amazing how the very people that are on the wrong end of the dream put so much energy in defending it,even if it sucks them to the bone .
This is not a political issue...or hanging on whether you do not like Al Gore or do. Lets put it plain and simple for those who possibly would rather not believe that this is happening. Hypothetically speaking...if Global Warming was a made up story (and all the evidence would suggest otherwise)...lets pretend it does not exist...all that is being asked is that we are responsible with our natural resources and environment. We look after it and preserve it. And that should be our focus. Just to watch out for the environment that we live in, enjoy and that takes care of us.
I dare anyone of you who somehow do not believe that there is anything worth saving to come and wake up in Africa...take a walk outside in this natural pristine paradise and watch a sunrise with me. Then perhaps you would realise that it is not about your likes or dislike, or what is convenient for you. It is about a surreal beauty that can take your breath away if you stop long enough to let it.
I could tell you about how our annual rainfall for this region has halfed...or how a river meant to flow the entire year round has been dry for 6 years...I could tell you about plants flowering out of season and upsetting the balance of the smaller creatures that live on them... would it make a difference to you...probably not. But it is deffinately not worth the risk of losing it. Save politics for another time okay. Look around you now and appreciate what we have... and if the man has to take a couple of flights around the world to spread the news of this then shame on you for not listening sooner and passing the message on it some other way. Its an investment...and the next time you fly anywhere wonder if you are busy going somewhere to try and save the world.
