The feeding frenzy here in the states is amazing. I can't figure who is more angry at McCain for picking a Washington outsider running mate, the Democrats or the press.
I have never seen the American media act out like this before. And for purely political reasons...Amazing.

Yeah, the mainstream media is way out of line, out of balance, and out of control when it comes to promoting their brand of politics. Fortunately they speak for themselves and usually not for the American public at large.
As for Palin, the more I'm learning about her the more impressed I am at the GOP's choice. Of the four big names on the ballot (Obamam, Biden, McCain, and Palin) she's the only one I think I would vote for be cause I actua

Once again, the Republicans claim to have a monopoly on direct communication from the Almighty, and guess what, He wants war and help for the oil industry.

Pat Buchanon clone for VP. Hardly putting country first---more like dividing the country first.

The pinheaded attack chihuahuas of the far left and their enablers in the MSM got stuffed last night. It couldn't have happened to a more 'deserving' pack of wretches.

And, Sarah-cuda is just getting warmed up.

McCain/Palin: the correct ticket for America (and the rest of planet Earth as well).

The Republican party that brought you Phyllis Schlafly, Dr. Laura, Clarence Thomas, Jimmy Swaggart, the moral majority, the brilliant handling of Hurricane Katrina and the War in Iraq. The Republican party who said that working moms were liberal, bad parents, selfish and anti-family, who said that liberal policies on sex ed were responsible for teen pregnancy, and the abortion rate; the Republican, family-friendly party that opposed the familiy medical leave act, opposed the equal rights amendment, opposed universal health care, eliminated overtime, and approved tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, is now the party that brings you Sarah Palin.
Now working moms are Republican, good parents and pregnant children are family-friendly.
NO flip flopping on their ideals.

Guiliani, Romney and Palin gave rousing speeches replete with misinformation.

Palin the REFORMER, had an Abramoff associate lobby for millions in earmarks from DC. Even McCain called her out on that. See the article from the LA TImes/Tribune from yesterday.

Mrs. Palin ran a 527 soft money fund for indicted senator Stevens.
She has taken money form the same oil compnay, Veco, that got Stevens indicted.

What a reformer.

Con artists get way with what they do because they are good at giving speeches and talking. You have to look past that and look at what happens when they are not on the job (of being a con artist).

Ignore the political speeches, the convention parties and their platform statements. Look at them in real life:

A new face, but the same old voice. Name-calling, bullying, cutsy sarcasm. The 'reform' of the GOP is evidently not about dignity, discourse, or facing the problems of the present and solutions for the future. Bush's speechwriter is still on the job.

I think that the speech was good, but the bar was very low... She obviously was not vetted properly, the media should question this. She is pro Creationism, pro abstinences only education, did take millions in earmarks (although she said she didn't last night, but this is public record, look it up), she was pro-bridge to nowhere, and finally went against it once it was already dead (again, look it up).

She sounded to me like another Karl Rove republican, she even attacked
community organizers - these are the people who stand up to politicians for those who can't!

She can read a teleprompter well, and the image specialist made her appear nice, but in the end, she is just more smoke and mirrors. I've had enough smoke in mirrors the last 8 years, McCain's poor judgment won't be redeemed by good speech writers.

Few things, Please Mr. McCain, good always wins over evil who knows that better than you? Also effects of good lasts more than evil, who knows that better than you? and please change your slogan from reform to change. We need a change not reform (There is a difference). That is the attracting substance of Mr. Obama. Reform reform reform American people have seen many of them, Give them change.

I was laid off because of a bad economy that she never mentioned in her speech. Im suppose to be afraid of tax increases from Obama, I want to know how the hell that saves and creates jobs. Its just Bush's same retoric fear. Im tired of the republicans holier then you are, Gucci wearing elitist hipocracy. She doesn't look like middle America, she looks more like a conservative offering to America. John Mccain is establishment politics.

Are American's really hoodwinked by McCain the 'reformer'? The Republican’s had the White House, AND the House and Senate for nearly EIGHT years and look at the state of this country! How is it that they paint themselves as the phoenix rising out of the ashes when they are very same politicians who started the fire? At the RNC - No talk of the last eight years - It's like they weren't their, not responsible, not US - MUSTA BEEN SOMEBODY ELSE!!?? If Sarah Palin has more executive experience than Obama, then she also has more experience than McCain (Huh??). So, who is the presidential nominee? McCain is 72 years old and are we really ready to hand the country over to a woman who has 1 1/2 years of governing a state with 683,000 residents and prior to that a city of 7,000? What's with the new Republicans and media (same people) that impeached Bill Clinton over a B/J and now a pregnant teen of our VP, who is pro-life, and touts abstinence 'Life Happens'? It's the same BS as four years ago and eight years ago. Remember - It the very same party ------

What this country needs is some common sense and honesty in it leadership. To get this country out of the mess its in will require severe cuts in federal spending increasing taxation to produce a balanced budget which cannot be done while we engage in a wasteful war in Iraq and practice pork barrel politics.

As far as abortion is concerned its a smoke screen to raise peoples emotions and I'm tired of the time and effort put into it. The real issues are the loss of peoples homes, jobs going abroad, a falling dollar and the fact that this country is bankrupt.

If the right have a problem with sex dont do it, die off, but remember its the method of procreation as ordained by God and theres nothing dirty about it. It must be obvious to most that abstinence only doesn't work and its surely better to educate people correctly than go at it half way.

In the meantime spend some time on coming up with how you will fix the real issues and lets hear no more about sex, abstinence, abortion and 'family values' whatever they are, as the main pressures on the families out there are financial.
